Just an FYI to help where I can. My game crashes and I get the "oops" error with your mod in this scenario: Have Highwind, Tifa lead of party (unknown if it occurs w/ Cloud yet), catch a Chocobo. Once the World Map loads and you dismount, where you get to select whether you want to release the Chocobo or send it to the stables, game crashes. The menu does not pop up when it is supposed to. I've narrowed it down to this bit here in the 01-Base_12.txt file for hext edits:

{world map box height
768FEB = E8 4B A9 1A 00 90 90

This does not occur if I use the modded _bc.exe, only if I use the standard exe which of course, I intend to use this mod with so I'm not dependent on a modded exe anymore.

Discovered that the bug in previous post also affects the "world map"-type area in the Great Glacier. The area where Cloud puts markers as the wind blows and turns the camera to alter your direction. When that area first loads and Cloud has his dialog, the game crashes before the dialog box shows up. I'd assume then this affects all boxes that pop up on a world map type area.

Thanks for the report, in the latest version there is no crash but there was an issue to be fixed, when catching chocobo's which I made a fix for, if you come on to the qhimm discord, and want to do more testing you can contact me there.

Chrysalis/EQ2Alyza, this is absolutely hands down the best looking and coolest UI/MO out there.  It looks fantastic and works great. Congrats on the release! And thanks for the mention.

Congrats on the release! How would one go about using this with R06? Is it not possible atm? The only thing I wish Reunion still had is the Menu Overhaul.

Right now it cannot be used with R06.  I had no knowledge of the R06 modding framework so as such I couldnt develop for it. For the future I dont know.

Also thanks to both of you for the praises.

I will expand on it tomorrow as I am tired now, basically a ff7 exe that's not had custom patches applied to it, so the one generated by the ff7 convertor tool here "step 1".

The mod relies on a lot of hext editing, so a modified exe could cause this to fail.

Use the basic ff7.exe.

Congrats on the release, Chrys! I am a little confused, though, because earlier in the thread, when I asked, you said a modified .exe (such as being changed by White Chocobo or TouphScript) can be used with this mod. But just a few posts up, you said it can't. So which is it? And I still think you might want to provide a non-7H version as well. Not everyone uses 7H, and forcing it to go through there alone cuts off those people who don't use it who might want to try out the mod. The choice should be up to the user to decide how they want to install it.

I don't mean to speak for Chrysalis, but the person who created the mod gets to decide what they want to support.  Not you.

My interpretation of what he said was you can change the exe if you want but that doesn't mean you should nor does it mean it is supported.  Give it a whirl, see what happens, but just know you do it at your own discretion and risk of it not working properly or it looking weird.  Many modders are moving away from hacking exes nowadays, which is a good thing.  There are better ways.  With that said, if you're only changing shop data, and the integrity of the rest of the exe is intact, it will probably work fine.

Nobody is forcing you to do/use anything.  The choice you have is what modding platform or method you use.  There is nothing stopping you from applying the assets from this mod into your preferred platform/method if you choose to take the time to do so.  Maybe you could be less demanding and instead suggest ways and offer help on how he can support your setup.

White Chocobo has been long abandoned.  If you're going to cheat in the game, why not just use other methods?

I'm sorry but your wants don't dictate our time and effort to spend. That is acting entitled to something you haven't put any work into yourself. If you want more out of it then open up the modding tools section and get crackin'. Modders are much more inclined to teach others how to mod then to simply bend to everyone's requests.

The reason there isn't a non 7H version is because it's not feasible right now. This is not something you can just request and we whip it up on the spot. If that were the case, then it would have already happened.

This will require only the FF7.exe. The days of using modified exes for certain mods are over.

so I managed to solve my issue with exp bar stucked: After installing the mod via 7th Heaven, close all including 7th heaven. Re open it and put this mod in bottom of the loader. Now to me is working great with no more exp bar bug/glitch/whatever. I leave this reply here hoping to help in troubleshooting section :D

to mod author: this mod is not good, it is GODDAM GOOD! nice work the game looks very neat with those panels. VERY nice job mate,.

on side note: is possible to add this mod to 7E catalog via link?= :D
