Remove Keys Wont Do Anything!

So i modded the game awhile back and it wasn't working right so i deleted everything and uninstalled FF7 and am now restarting the process, When I bring up FF7 Remove Keys and hit Y it does nothing. Doesn't pop up a message or anything. So i skipped this step and the Game Converter was stuck on patching. So i assume that i need to get Remove Keys working, uninstalled FF7 again and tried again but no luck! Please Help me.
 
Sounds like your computer is restricting access to them. Perhaps the command prompt isn't allowed to execute.
 
Thanks for the quick response, yes i have run it as administrator it does the same, is there a way to have my computer not restrict access to them?

Have you tried temporarily disabling your antivirus? Some quietly stop access to things like the registry from unsigned sources.
 
mykall, im having the same problem, same situation and everything, i followed the guides, did everything perfect, but the game was acting funny, i uninstalled ff7, went to remove keys, remove keys isn't doing anything and the game converter is always stuck on "patching....", apparently this is a thing, a number of people are having this issue, someone needs to look into this and we need to find out why its happening
