Hello, im trying to play resident evil 3 on my pc but i get this shattered image when using a high resolution. They go away when using the minimum resolution and 16 bits. I recall someone with this problem on the forums but with a final fantasy game, perhaps the solution is the same?

This is how it looks...

Is there a way to play high resolution without this lines?

I noticed that it also happens when trying to use antialiasing in the nvidia control panel, this makes it look bad even with the lowest resolution.

I use winxp sp2.

Thanks for any help

The solution to this problem on FF7PC is to use the 1.02 exe. Obviously, that isn't a solution to RE3. Unfortunately, I don't have any better answers :(

I know a few guys that mod RE3 PC / RE4 PC, I'll ask them check to check it out, get back to ya when I can :D

I'm thinking maybe your video driver/card?

EDIT: I found a High res mod, maybe running HQ resoultions...? I'll Pm or post link if you wanna test

Is useful information to know that most likely im not the problem, thanks.

@Masa-Buster
Yes, im very interested in testing it, please share.

That changed the resolution but the image remains broken, thanks anyway.

Yep, that forum is the best to go if you want to talk about RE modding.
They got pretty good modelers there.

Check one of the other threads, tells you how to remove the lines.

Thanks, i found the solution...

- In-game, press F2, config window appears
- In "Others" tab uncheck "Texture Correction"
- If problem remains uncheck also "Texture Completion" and "Voodoo2", but for me was gone only with step 2 done.

Too bad the problem pop again when trying to use antialiasing of NVIDIA panel, anyway, is better than playing in the lowest resolution and 16 bits!

Thanks all for the help.
