There is a pear tree in your yard.
On this tree there are pears.
After a strong wind blows, there are neither pears on the tree nor on the ground.
How?

(Hint: no tornadoes or cliffs, also not in my belly)
 
The wind blew away one from each pear, so now it's single? or maybe the pears are now on the yard?
 
There were pairs on the tree. I'm guessing only two. If the wind blows one down, then there is one on the tree, and one on the ground. In which case, neither the tree nor the ground has pears.

Covarr got is specifically. There were only two pears. So when one fell there weren't pears "plural" anywhere. There was one on the ground and one in the tree.

I am aware, I'm just bored and came up with an alternate solution

Orion?

I'm pretty sure that's right because of the constellation and MIB.
But I need to go to bed. So if someone thinks of a riddle while I'm sleeping go ahead and have at it :)

That is absolutely right. The constellation has a belt, there was a cat named Orion in MIB, and two of the stars on it are Betelguise and Bellatrix.

Ah, there's a Bellatrix in it! My first thought was "a drape?"   :-)
