Just wanna get some stuff all in one thread, if you dont like it here you can delete it SL and ill put it in the game tweaking section. Im gonna put the pics up on saturday cuz i have work right after school today lol

The materia is, but the others are not yet. They will be though. Remember that the installer is just a test, not a release.
 
Oh ok. I see. So you're basically including the most root of Team Avalanche and see if that works; then make a full release of everything on it correct?

i put all the screens up on the first post. the avatars def look better ingame than in the screens shots
and id like to release this menu mod but the guy wont respond to any of my messages on deviant art or my emails, its like he doesnt exist anymore. its not like i havent tried go ask permission. anyways heres wat it looks like now, i still have some tweaking to do to get it just right and stuff

the new start menu would be PERFECT for this project if you can get permission, and i think if it was full screen, Only because i think full screen menus are pretty awesome

Hmm, for a screen like this would it be best to set it up in upscaled 16:10 (maybe something like 1920x1200) so there isn't ugly stretching with the full screen main menu?
 
If it is for a full screen you could release the image as it is, which should be ok since it was published for free in the first place and then all that someone will have to do is to resave it as a .png format (you can even use “paint” to do that) and rename it as “buster_00”. Perhaps you will want to also cut off a small part from the top and the bottom of the image to fit better in the resolution of the screen:

Romeo I like your colored items. Though I personally prefer to use the uncolored version I still believe that the work you did on them is very good.

That menu looks VERY nice! I just hope you have the proper permission to display it.
 
Well it’s not that I released it or anything. I just gave a few hints to help people who might want to do it full screen on there own. I haven’t really thought that the screen capture does any harm (I mean there is another one a few posts above), you think I should remove it?

unfortunatly halkun has already stepped in on this and has declared that image unusable. He doesn't want ANY unauthorized content distributed on Qhimm(free or otherwise), which is also why ff7/Jedi Knight models can no longer be converted. It makes sense to keep us all out of trouble and the forums operating, but it definitly sucks in this situation. I'm sure the author would be happy to have his content put into the game, but he's disappeared off the face of the earth(or internet).

Yeah it’s a pity. I mean seeing how the image looks in game it gives the impression it was originally made exactly for this purpose, it should actually been used as the default opening screen for teem avalanche’s project, but I suppose rules are rules. Anyway if that’s the case I’ll also remove the screenshot to not get anyone in trouble.
 
I guess i'll have to make a buster sword and scene for the main menu :P
 
I'll still use an image I found (somewhere) and input it as the main menu. I just won't show it here because I don't want to be warned... Again, lol.  :wink:
 
i don't see any issues with creating your own image, just don't distribute it or you could get a stern warning(or suspension) since this has been discussed already.  I wish we could use it too, it makes a beautiful open screen.
