Sixaxis PS3 Game Controller Help

I am using my PS3 controller via Windows and want to use it to play FF7. However, the button assignments for the normal buttons exceed #s 1-10 which is the limit to assign ingame FF7. I was wondering if anyone knows how to reconfigure the button assignments in the control panel or enable FF7 to go past buttons 1-10 in game. Any help would be awesome!

You can try using a Game Profiler like Pinnacle or XPadder and just assign the keyboard buttons you use normally to the controller.

XPadder is a free equivalent to Pinnacle but takes more manual assignment so if you're technically challenged it may be confusing.
Pinnacle comes with a 30 day free trial.

I just tried it with my Sixaxis, seems best to just assign the most important controls to the pad - movement and Ok, Cancel etc. - and when you've run out of buttons assign the least important (like Target and Camera) to the keyboard, since I don't use those anyway.

um how do u get it to show as a controller for the pc?
