So.. anyone who bought the new FF7 PC version and lost the install file.

So I saw this on the forums at square-enix and tried it out myself.

If you bought this game when it first came out,  you can't redownload the game. When you try to, it says the download has expired after 30 days.

backup your backup. yea it sux but that part wasnt even in the eula or anything. it was on the download page. or a page before it. i remember seeing it though it wasnt hidden

I bought mine the day it came out and i can still download mine, I just followed the link in my email which downloaded the DL manager and running that downloads the rest of the game

mines ok for some reason. I bought mine in the UK if that makes any difference

anyone try installing it to a Flash Drive?
I have an empty 16Gb drive i'd try it on...

ok so you can do it... it works with the 2012 version
only thing is, you have to mess with registry as in copying from original pc and putting the file into the new pc.
so i guess this means no FFVII grinding on a work pc unless you can regedit on them, glad i bring my own pc to work.
would probably work fine with the original 1998 version though
