This might be neat as a continuous "I just learned that..." topic, but it doesn't have to. ;)

Anyway. I was sifting through PrC weeding out some lingering bugs when I discovered an enemy I had never heard of before. It's the Flower Prong. It appears to be in the Gongaga Forests and possibly as a Battle Arena though I don't think it's in a referenced chain. You can apparently Side attack it and it's supposed to change forms as it gets weaker.
It contains data for an attack called Energy Siphon that is supposed to drain 7/8 of a target's HP/MP and give it to Flower Prong. Has anyone ever fought this enemy before? I've never heard of it before today.

Yup I remember the first time I fought this guy, I was really surprised because in the 10 years or so I had been playing FF7, I had never seen it before.
That, and it was a really interesting enemy, it was a side attack, and it actually changes form several times, growing stronger with each, starts out as a little bud, and grows into a big man eating flower.
Pretty rare encounter considering he is only found in such a small area. It's a bit of a shame really haha.

yup many a time :)  though its name is a mystery to me.  It looks from japanese to be prang and not prong.

Flower Prong
フラワープラング
furawaapurangu
Flower Prang
[probably Prong or Prang because of the things on its head]

:S I have played Mario games for 19 years (since I was two) and i cannot believe i never noticed that! That is so funny! wow were they lazy:P

This was actually one of the first things I noticed when I started playing. :) It was a good idea at the time. Saves space for other more complex things later on. :)

Actually, it is called being efficient.  These were the NES days, and space/resources were in short supply.

Well since Mario nostalgia is so popular, here's this one too.

That is also true obesebear....how funny I have never thought of it like that!

NiN is a band... But Trent Reznor retired.
Trent is not retired. he just don't put out albums ne more cause of the RIAA, the last few NIN albums have been put out under the creative commons and you can download them from his page.
