i made a new topic cuz i felt the mods might not like me adding this to the other topic

the problem i have is that i dont have any SFXs working i mean the music is working fine and everything but in a battle for example the sound of clouds swrod slashing an enemy cannot be heard... so is there a way to fix this or is the PC version different from the PSX version?

thx in advance and sorry for any in convenience this may have caused

Open up ff7config.. it's under your ff7 directory and looks like a chocobo.

Hit the "Sound" tab, and play with the various devices in the pull-down list to see which one works best, making sure you test center, left, and right.  You SHOULD hear a chocobo warking when you push the button.

If you don't hear anything at all, you might have wav's muted in your sound control panel.  Open up your soundcard's configuration thingie (or Windows volume control) and make sure "wav" isn't muted or turned really low.

Please check the size of your audio.dat file.  It is located in your FF7 folder\data\sound.  It should be 68.4 MB.

right, dont worry i dont have a pirated version or anything
it just got corrupted or something cuz i didnt un-install the game when i re-installed windows.. well thats at least what i think, anyways im just gonna re-install the game
btw if  it were pirated i wouldnt be able to veiw the game movies, other wise the guy who ripped the game and gave it to me was plain stupid to rip the movies and not the sound....

thx anyways
