Prepare for the cash-ins. Dear lord, is this really the way movies are going now? Reboot after reboot, remake after remake. No creativity and just a cash in mentality. Star wars ep 7 8 9 then another movie every 2 years? What a laugh. I won't be watching and anyone with a modicum of sense won't either (granted that won't be a majority or near it.)

I couldn't make this shit up.  I am racking my brains to find something more ridiculous.

On the plus side, Lucas isn't directly involved this time, so it can only be an improvement over the prequel trilogy.

I can just see them breaking into song in the middle of a fight scene...

star wars the musical

1) You're acting like the prequel trilogy wasn't a cash in.
2) You seem surprised, the movie industry has been like this for years
3) Unfortunately, you're skewing facts, where'd you get "then another movie every 2 years" from?  Did you just delude yourself into thinking you know better than everyone else again?  Do you seriously not realize that half of what you say is pure drivel, and the other half is ignorant babbling?  You seriously disturb me at times.  Completely unable to realize that companies are in business to make money.  Sorry that you'd like the art of media to be the driving force behind it's production, but nope, it's money.  You accuse every company that releases something you don't like to be cashing-in or selling-out.  However, you neglect to realize that this isn't the fucking case, yes they are doing it to make money, but it's no different than the products you do enjoy.

But I digress, I can't act like you have the ability to look at anything objectively, anyway.

1.  I understand the prequels were cash ins.  Show me in my original post where I didn't.  However, George Lucas did try to do a good job and failed miserably.

2.  You are clearly a troll.

And that's sad. Forums (especially gaming) attract too many like you that ruin it for the rest of us.  When you act like that to others, remember that the reason is you are unhappy with yourself and are unable to address the faults in your life.  Until you do, you will never be cured.  The familiar pattern is nearly always the same.  Don't mod, don't add anything to the community, but troll and stick to offtopic areas.  Shame I am not in charge, you would be gone in 2 seconds.

3. Companies are primarily to make money as big business, however, with good films there is also a creative spark.  If you watch Cameron's interviews for example you can see the effort he puts into research and into the concept.  He even makes concept art for his films at time.  The reason Final Fantasy has gone down the pan is because business has become greater than art.  Go and read a few Sakaguchi interviews and you will discover that he was going to give up making games if Last Story turned out to be badly received.  His reasoning was he wants to make good games.

There comes a time where someone has so much money that the thrill of succeeding is greater.  If you doubt this go and watch a few interviews with mega-sports stars like Roger Federer.  You clearly have a lot to learn about the world and how it works.

4.
That will be followed by episodes eight and nine and then one new movie every two or three years, the company said.
5. There is nothing drivel about what I wrote.

You should read better and stop getting angry because I criticised your belief that Cannabis has no adverse effect on the lungs hahaha!

I laughed my ass off when I saw the news. This is gonna be hilarious.

I agree the prequels were bad, but the 3rd was decent imo.

How is SW 7 gonna go about. Luke as an old Jedi Master?

I bet they retcon the emperor dying too haha, falls to his death and then watch as at the bottom he gets back up and shrugs.  Fanbase accept anything. Even characters being blown away in their office can return.

This is Disney we're talking about. Ever since they got rid of their then-CEO Michael Eisner in 2005, they've been pretty reluctant to retcon things.

While I fully agree with you about the cash-in qualities of this, I'm also sure it'll be better than the prequel trilogy. Even Disney's cash-ins tend to at least get a reasonable effort put into them.
