I just finished playing FF7 on pc and used the analog stick on my logitech controller to move but i just noticed that i can't do the same with the ps3 controller on the ps3. i just want to play it once more but on the ps3 with the original sounds and all. is there a way to get this game to use the ps3 stick to move, it feels ackward using the d pad.

No because I don't think the original FF7 used the analog sticks on PS1.

actually not true it depends on what controller you have becuase i have a controller which i can use the joystick to play. but however on my other controler if i turn on the analog stick the controller no longer works.

Is it a third party one? because if so it's probably just a reprogrammed D-pad with and analog stick as a disguise, which is why your able to play it just a guess.

lol no i have a d-pad. The reason is the controller has an auto-joystick which you dont need to push the button so you can just use it with everygame. It depends from what company. you can use both the d-pad and the joy stick.

Which controller is it? Which brand?

Since we're on the topic of PS3 controllers. Sony is working on DualShock3, which is going to put the rumble function back in. Just thought I'd bring that up  :-P

actually, contrary to peoples thoughts, the original ps1 game DID use Analog stick. only for movement though, well, atleast mine does.

I'm pretty sure it didn't because the game came out before dual shocks, I know FF9 did, and FF8 might of but I can't remember.
Also don't revive a thread long dead, the mods don't appreciate it much.
