OFFICAL TEAM AVALANCHE TROUBLESHOOTING THREAD
FOR ISSUES RELATING TO 2D OVERHAUL & WORLD MAP RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
With the 2D Overhaul(2DO) well under way, and the World Map Reconstruction Project(WMRP) starting to get some legs, I feel this thread needs to be created.  Many people are experiencing small install related issues and I don't think the release threads should be bogged down with troubleshooting issues. Post your particular problem in here and someone will be along to help you sort it out.  After a while i see most issues being covered, so it should be as easy as finding someone who already SOLVED your problem.

If you have any problems installing either package, please post your issue here. 

Include the following:
What mod are you installing? (2DO or WMRP)
What other mods have you installed?
What version is your game?
Include your APP.log (enclose it in "code" tags)

Be patient and provid as much information as possible, and your problem will be solved ASAP. 

Please refrain from posting the following in this thread:
Issues with Aali's Driver (post it here)
Issues with running the game in general
Help me beat XXX boss or find XXX item
Issues with PRP or other custom models(post in the relevent thread)

Do you think you could post the file to be removed from the GUI overhaul beta 8 to fix the KotR animation bug? I feel like it's less likely to get buried behind pages and pages of posts here...

Also any other fixes to beta 8 that may exist that I haven't caught that others have would probably be helpful. This looks like a nice place to compile fixes...

Good idea, delete tube_1 before running the patch will fix the problem
 
You need to copy the 'Limit' folder into the 'MagicTex' folder
or edit the batch file and remove the \MagicTex part of this line ( copy "%cd%\MagicTex\Limit\*.*" "%cd%\magic\ff7\data\battle\limit2\tifa1\" /Y )

well i installed the patch, it ran for only about 3 or more seconds, but not that long, i moved my lgps and i dont think anything happened

1. Make sure aali's driver is installed correctly. Search the forums here for info.

2. Let us see what is in app log.

3. Sounds like a problem with the movies. Check that
 
I've been using the Beta 6 for a while.
I just tried to update to the Beta 8 and summon pack (because they look AWESOME).
I did everything as per the instructions, and the flevel and menu aspects come out just fine, but the magic.lgp gets spat out at seemingly random sizes from ~2,000kb to ~ 8,000kb.  Unfortunately this is not the ~50,000kb that it used to be.  It shows in tests when all limit, magic, and summon animations are gone or messy.
I'll try working from a fresh lgp next.

Should I use the summon batch or the beta batch first?
 
can u tell me what you have done on  that mod?..... step by step thnx.....
 
I combined the GUI and summon pack folders (kept the batch files separate)
copied my beta 6 lgps into the folder
ran the summon batch
ran the beta 8 batch

the flevel and menu files are unchanged but the magic was smaller
i retried running the batches in a different order or leaving one out but it seemed to yield the same issues

Sounds like it is not unpacking the magic.lgp properly. I need to see a screenshot of the batch file to confirm.

Im going to guess that you do not have aali's driver installed. (Assuming you followed the instructions in the release)
 
Working from a fresh lgp cleared up the problem but the source of it seems to be from the summon pack batch file.  Running this seems to do something to the magic.lgp so that it doesn't properly unpack and repack.
The Beta 8 patch on a fresh lgp works perfect though.

Have u tried running them in seperate folders? Im not sure if it will work if you combine them all into one folder
 
I kept my Summon Pack folder untouched so I attempted with a fresh lgp in there and I still had the same problem.
I tried the same with my Beta 8 lgp and still had the same problem.
