Subscriptions Not Updating

I get to Step 5 of the tutorial, where it says to "check subscription now" and nothing happens.  It doesn't say "Updating catalog..." in the right side window.  Neither does the catalog show me anything when I hit "search"
 
You gotta make sure you paste the exact link into the subscription box. Click the catalogs tab and search. It should be that simple.
 
The default subscription text when you install isn't the correct one if I remember correctly use the one from the tutorial.

I didn't get any option to change a subscription link.

there was nothing about updating a subscription link or any text box in the tutorial thread.
 
I stand corrected.  I found the link.  Thanks for the help
