Hey guys I have been thinking that team avalanche needs a logo or something of the sort. Any concept ideas?
 
What do you think of something like this...

I finally found the final fantasy font...  :|

Yeah his is a better logo. Mine is like a signature or something. xD.
and its not done, my friend wants to "spruce" it up...
 she is quite the artist.. let us see what she does..  :lol:

here is a W.I.P of what i have now...
i am going to give it to my friend A.S.A.P though... she just needs to get her photo editing tools ready on her new PC. XD.

She wasn't part of the bombing mission.
The idea was you have everyone who was in the first mission. :)
 
i like what i have seen so far, but i think we're looking for more of a "logo" and not a banner. Something small with a bit of text that simply says team avalanche. Think IBM or apple's logo, it's simple and short. What's been done so far is excellent, but it's not quite a logo if you get what i'm saying.

I was originally thinking logo or a splash page for the installer, but if i can manage to integrate the banner into the installer somehow i think it will fit the purpose. BrokenCrowe if your friend that made this would like to add a signature or something of the sort to identify it as her work that would be alright as well.
 
I'm not sure how long ago you guys wanted a logo,or if you already decided on an official one, but i completely remade the FF7 Comet into a .png with smoother gradient and the whole comet (even what was under the original text) for future use =p and i added the team avalanche text. Plus i wanted to help in some way >.<

I know its not the final fantasy font but i don't have it and i liked this one. Can easily be changed though i have it saved safely as a PSD.

OMG blasphemer calling an Meteor a Comet!! XD *Throws eggs at andreese*

 Joke xD but hell I never saw a version which some third grade magic spell like "Comet" thretened the whole earth:P. Meteo owns.

 I'm not related any way to TA soo can't say, looks clear(maybe a little too clean/sterile), but what's with the colour in the back? Doesn't suit the game.:P And the Meteo in the logo doesn't have white circle around.

I was thinking of running it through some filters to make it a little more old.

I was also thinking for load screen you could change the pictures periodically and add some of TA's concept art if there is any :D

EDIT: I want to make a few variations of this but i don't want to hog page-space. please let me know if you're interested in seeing. :)

This is the officail teame avalance logo from now on. u guys have no say in the matter.​
But seriously, I'm really liking andreese's idea. Simple, clean, not littered with unnecessary character art.
 
I'm not saying that character art is better. but what does Meteor have to do with Avalanche? Their main goal is to break the dependency on Mako Energy because it saves the lifestream. Eventually, yes their goal is to stop Meteor, but since right now this is the Bombing Mission anyway, I see no reason that the Meteor is a major representation of Avalanche.

Edit: Don't want anyone to think I'm b*tching or anything, I'm just curious about the reasoning :P

guys calm down lol... it's the logo for Final Fantasy 7 i basically just switched out the "Final Fantasy VII" with "Team Avalanche." Meteor/Comet, same thing... besides it clearly has a tail and comets have tails.

but what's with the colour in the back? Doesn't suit the game.:P And the Meteo in the logo doesn't have white circle around.

color in the back? you mean the weird grey, that's the forums' color. It has transparent background and if you put it on a white background it has no white circle around it. Has the same colors from the game logo (almost identical). Plus, this was just a suggestion, im not saying they have to use it or that i can't change it or start over if it's not what they want. I was trying to make it simple and elegant

what is this thing going to be used for anyway? should it be shaped like a square or long and skinny like a banner?
