looks pretty good, the face works rly well ingame. i'm not an expert at sticking models in the game, but frmo the victory stance i can see that the arm goes too far back in that shot.. duno what can be done to fix that, as the position seems fine in the omnislash shot... also what do you mean about barrets beard?
 
Wow, FF7 is able to use models that are that detailed?!

Any plans for....... say.............. Tifa or Red XIII? :D Yea, yea, I know it's unfair to ask about something like that. :P

Man, I wish I knew how to do this stuff!

thats so awesome, definatly not going to play though again until i get that model in my game. u got mad skillz :)
this + the muisc remasterd will be so epic feel like a whole new game.
 
Everything looks fine in that shot Timu, the anatomy looks perfect, because he's ment to be showing part of his chest through the ends of his top, looks A Okay to me ;). I must say, the quality of this is darn good! Looks like an unreal game now or something! Amazing Apz :D
 
Friggin' sweet model, haven't bothered playing with any mods yet as i figured i'd wait till there was a complete pack available (that and tall models on a chibi plane distracts too much for me to see it as an improvement), but seeing this i don't think i will be able to keep away, especially not if a chibi version is on the horizon too.

I'm amazed something that good looking even works in this old engine, good thing they didn't put a cap on the textures.

to be honest, i be VERY happy if they used something like this in an FF7 remake. normaly, they use teams to power the model out, but you did it all on your own. utter, complete perfection. cannot WAIT to use this.

The question is, "pretty good", or "super ownage Perfection in a jar"

EDIT: also, i agree, yours is way better than the Dissidia one :D

Wow, yours does look better. But then again I guess I still like the classic Cloud a whole lot better than his remakes (maybe it's nostalgia).
 
If you're talking about Cloud's look in the Compilation of FF7, I don't think it's nostalgia. No, he's been much too girly recently; Cloud is supposed to be a badass   :mrgreen:

About Barret's beard. It's just me or he lost his mouth too? Or this or he is doing a extremelly weird expression that his mouth has gone somewhere else that I can't figure it out.

I noticed that too... Cloud's got a chick's face... he's not looking so tough anymore in recents compilations...
Guess he's getting used to Miss Cloud .. lol
Anyway... I'm rather see a 'pimped up' high detailed 'girly' Cloud.. than the original lack of details tough one.
 
Alright I'm ALMOST done getting it ready for distribution. I'm fine tuning a few things but here's some tasty screenshots for ya!  :wink:



Oh and thank you guys for thinking my Cloud's better than Dissidia. I respectfully disagree of course,  8-) because it's a game with lots of limits like texture size and polycount, the difference is both stylistic and structural. I just made Cloud to form more of a union to the original in-game Cloud and the new continuity Cloud. Dissidia's Cloud looks like a direct shot at making a full 3D version of the Cloud menu avatar in the original game. For that I squeal in happiness!

But all that aside I am proud of my Cloud and I will generate several versions from him in time to come.

Enjoy these screenshots for now, I'll need some time to finish putting the finishing touch to him.

particularly from the pic with 6 shots, the one on the bottom right, the legs look off, perhaps raising the body from the groin peice upwards and leavin the legs where they are (just a small heigh adjustment) could help. also the hands in the casting pose like strange on the inside.
 
I learned from the other Cloud project that those are things that cannot easily be helped. That way the animation pieces rotate and the length of the bones don't lend themselves easily to fix proportionate problems like this. But trust me though, this is a HUGE improvement over the KH ripp off one. It looked way worse in game, especially for those issues.

Remember, most of the time the camera is far enough away that any detail is just a few pixels on screen. Moving a part may fix the way it looks for one animation, but it makes it look worse for another animation. I tried to find the gentle average so that things look more natural. The KH ripp off gave me allot of experience with this issue.

As far as the wrists go, that's just a hasty attempt to cap the hole left after removing the hand, and you only see that for a second so it's not really a big deal.

(although now that I think of it, I made these screenshots before some more bending tweaking and rescaling so it's not as noticeable now, but still there)

All things considered, he's mightily awesome and animates better with this model than I thought he would. Even with those flaws it's pretty damn cool!
 
idk but i think i like the original hair better for some reason... the original dosent look as good not a chance but the original hair had something about it.
 
I like COMPLETELY like this model!I like everything in it!Face,Hair,Hands,belt...everything is PERFECT! :-)
