I just download gmax. its basically a free little 3ds max made by discreet. It has a HUGE tutorial system and it looks VERY promising. Add pov-ray (although i dont know if it has an export system), and this could be really great.
 
damn, theres no export function. how about a gmax -> milkshape -> .p converter? :grin:


its probably close to the 3ds max fie format, so it probably wouldnt be that hard

I could include it to my convertor. But I havent seen this Gmax yet, could you tell me what formats are available there ?

Or could you send me some sample files, pleaze ?
 
Whats even better is that some games are going to tie in their editors to gmax, most notably at the moment, Dungeon Siege, which is going to be soo coooool.
 
When I saw the header, I was expecting something about Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but maybe that just goes without saying.  Woot!
 
i wasnt very impressed with the beachhead beta map of RtcW. Ill need to see more of th engine, i guess.

oops I didnt realize that I downloaded it last night.
Ok. I'll take a look at those files.
But on first look, I dont like them. Microsoft like header, my user name & computer's name stored in file .... i dont like it  :wink:

hehe just be sure to remove that if you choose to put the format in your converter =)
