it was suppose too... This magic is now worthless, I got up to 50 run away battles. And it only takes of 50 pots, yet I did everything the guide told me to do correctly to obtain this Chocobuckle. What the heck happened? I'm so mad I took the time to get this magic and it is so pathetic that it doesn't multply after i run away from battles it only adds 1 more attack power to it each time. I got ripped off  :|

At least you're one skill closer to completing your Enemy Skill.

Anyway, I think it only does that in the original japanese version...

im not entirely sure what you tried to do but the description of what chocobuckle does is that for every battle you run away from it does 1 damage point, so to do 9999 damage you would have to run away from 9999 battles or more.....which i don't think is worth doing

In my guide, it says that its suppose to multiply by like 4 each time. I can scan my guide onto the computer if you don't believe me. I think this guide was written for the black labelled discs though, mines not black labeled discs.

As LJH says, it may only apply to the original Japanese version.  Does the guide not tell you what version of the game it's for?

This is an english guide, it is not a japanese guide. It is the final fantasy 7 ultimate guide made by versus. And I'm going to upload a screenshot of what i'm talking about onto my scanner now

Guides are not always perfect, I guess.

In PAL version it is just the amount of times
you've ran away, there is not a multiplier.

I think it is not in the NTSC-U/C version, too.
Not sure about the Japanese original game.

Edit: That guide is based on the japanese game, it seems. So... you know the answer.

Why the hell would it be based on the japanese version if the cover and no wheres in the book does it say its based on the japanese version and its in english? LOL, makes no sense
