I downloaded the saint patch and the rar had a trojan, so did the patcher.exe

Hi

two questions:

Where did u download saints patch from?

Also What anti-virus software are you using?

look, i am a cracker/hacker and the reason for the "virus" notice is because of the core the patch was built upon.

It's called a false positive. You'd better get used to them, because you'll see a lot if you mess with game modding.

Yes it is a false positive like Terid_K and Fermy said and you can just disable your virus scanner or allow Exclusions if your virus scanner allows it. But still alot of people find this a problem (mainly because no one wants to disable there virus scanner) so i am trying to work on a method to remove (actually just hiding the code not removing it) the false positive from saints patch and so far it seems to be coming along nicely but i havent figured out how to from all virus scanners yet but so far i have made it possible to not be detected by nearly all on them.

Here is a picture of the original Saints Patch virus scan from http://virusscan.jotti.org/

And now here is V1 of my EXE and as you can see only Ikarus and Sophos can find it.

And here is V2 of my EXE and now i have managed to make it so Ikarus cant find it but it no shows as a virus on AntiVir scanner

Anyway so far its coming along well but now i need to try and find a way around sophos and making sure both Ikarus and AntiVir dont see it as a virus.

It's mainly due to the nature of the patch.
Since it actually involves altering the executable in similiar ways that a trojan would.
