Timu Sumisu & Millenia's Barret field model+reskinned

Hello,
i'm not long into FF7 modding, basiclly I just dll'd that huge patch two days ago to see the allnew beauty of FFVII
Anyway, while everything was good and all, it came to me in a suprise that most of the main characters are not redone yet
Sooo, I began lurking for info and so on.
Back to the point.
I decided to make a field model of Barret based of the Millenia's one, but to my shame couldn't open the textures for it (I wanted to edit face a little), so because of that I had to reskin Barret from the start. The final thing wasn't so bad at all.

So I ask permission from the authors if I can post that field model, so more people could use it.
 
How flattering, never thought my models would float about and start getting reskinned :P

I don't have a problem with it, you can pop millenia a pm if you like. We'll be releasing a field version of barret sometime in the distant future.
 
Personally I like the darker version better. This one looks like he's been bleached. Not MR. T enough.
 
The skin color is kinda wrong, but wow at that face. Now he does look a lot more like in the artwork.
 
Yeah, I like the new face too, but it seems a bit like he is cross-eyed...
Also, I think the skin looks too yellow, but apart from that, nice attempt!
 
If you look closely, he looks pissed off lol.

Which is a good thing because Barret's a badass like that. ;)
 
That looks a lil better and I can see he gots some bling (silver) bling. ;)

But hmm, still looks cartoonish. :/
 
His skin is a bit too orange and having the pupils at the top of his eyes makes him look like he's cumming. Sort those two little things out and you'll have a damn good model.

Pfft, cartoonish is good! :-P

Plus, having a cartoonish style means that we can have simpler models and textures that take less time to make but still look great.

Not to mention that it'll be a less file size. ;-)
 
i don't know about normal people, but being color blinde i can say that this looks weird in a very funny way, he looks like he's gonna be sick and angry at the same time. but yeah, its looking pretty good, probably would change the skin if i were you and... i agree with kudistos on the eyes, but after that its a great job
 
He doesn't really look black, he looks more orange, like a giant Oompa Loompa.

Either that or he likes fake tan :P
 
I just noticed a while ago about KM's comment about the eyes... LMAO.

I really like his chain; has that AVALANCHE feel to it. Gold just wouldn't fit Barret.

I have a problem with his chest.  Those look a bit like women boobs to me...

But all in all, good work.
 
If you make the pecs the same color as the rest of the skin, it would look pretty good.
 
Hey I tried adding this mod....He shows up all brown (whole body) with a gap where  his shirt should be.....? Should I just retry it or is broken?
