We should have a top 10 mods page for the people new to the FF7 modding community so they can easily and quickly get familiarized with what is going on without doing research for 5 hours.  An example--
1. Aalis Custom Driver (obviously)
2. DLPB Menu Overhaul Project
3. .........
4. ..........
5. ........

It would be cool if we could set up a poll (I don't know how to create a poll).
Yeah-that's about it.  Let me know what you guys think.

1. Aalis Custom Driver (obviously)
2. DLPB Menu Overhaul Project
3. Bloodshot's HQ motorbike mod V2
4. ..........
5. ........
Fixed that for you  ::)

I was starting to make a list of mods to gather in a topic so people would know about the must add mods to enhance the gameplay without changing the game original meaning..

[1] - Mods that don't change the original concept, only enhancing the experience.
[2] - Mods that slightly modify the original concept, extending the game experience.
[3] - Mods not really related to the original game concept.
But this is something that can't be done by one person alone.
Besides, i'm not even a old user from qhimm, i don't know about many mods.

Lists like these are inherently stupid as hell because opinions differ

Bloodshot's HQ motorbike mod V2 has a glitch.  It replaces the torso part of the Dio model with Cloud's leg.  It's simple to fix though.

The Remix mod includes couple of excellent components.
It fixes the hand pointer, adds a few models not in the PRP, has a looped soundtrack with remixes and corrects a few glitches.
On the downside, it destroys 179 world textures and some battle models.
I always use the remix as a starting point though.
I'm very interested in this thread because my Bootleg Edit automates the installation of many mods.  I'll definitely make sure it works with all the mods mentioned here . . .

I vote for:
Trish(aka Mike)'s custom model pack.7z   Thread
yarLson Field Upscale Project v0.35.zip   Thread

What's so bad about ff7 remix mid compilation apart from it being outdated
The fact that because it is out of date it cripples many files and other installations.  At the moment it is creating tons of problems.

oh and
:

1. Aalis Custom Driver
2.  Menu Overhaul Project
3. Yarlson field update
4. FMV restoration

and tools:

1. Wallmarket
2. proud clod
3. Hojo
4. Black Chocobo
5. touphScript

I am sure I have missed something but what the heck.

No love for Team Avalanche? :(
I'd vote the Team Ave mod being number 2, 1 is of course. Aali's custom driver. And 3 being DLPB's menu overhaul/new battle menu's :D.

No love for Team Avalanche? :(
TA isn't so much a "mod" as it is a full blown overhaul. That's like asking for your "10 favorite metals" and someone says "no love for diamonds?"
Diamonds are no doubt more precious than gold but not a metal.

and I always forget to remember that TA is more than a menu overhaul.  It includes tons of other stuff and should be placed num 2 imhom onky gripe I have is that certain things not finished.  Magic (?) etc?
