only need is .3ds file to import it into 3dsmax, apply the texture and flip the uv's in pc creator save it
 
to get chibi proportions right, you have to edit the mesh data directly with a model editing program (i use the original FF7 models as a reference), since you cant just resize parts in kimera for the proportions to work properly.
 
How do  i  do that?

Thanks to valiant efforts of Viashino, i have been able to remedy my little issue with the sword.. lol
It seems i had forgotten to flip the polygons.

Now its a all a matter of sizing it down... repositioning it... and applying the texture.
Should be done by tomorrow... maybe in two days....
i am still learning, so yeah.

I will post screenies soon.

It's complicated. i'll try making a video tutorial, but my computer is very weak at the moment and it can't run most of its programs, so i can't use the tools i normally use to make videos.

Well to put it simply, when you learn how to move and scale things in your 3d modeling program (i.e 3dsmax or blender), you just import the entire HRC of the original field model into it.once that's done, you import your new model, and scale it down and put it aside for easy access later. when that's done, pick a body part. if you're gonna start with the feet, copy one of the feet from the new model, bring it over, and resize it until it's the right size. the feet never normally need tweaking. if it's something more tricky, like a forearm, you do the same as you did with the feet, but you'll notice that on the original, the lower part is a lotter fatter than on the new one, and the higher part a lot slimmer. all you do for this is to just scale and move, sometimes rotating selections of verticies (this requires you to know how to mod things sub-model in your 3d modelling program) until the whole body part has roughly the same shape as the original. that's exactly what i did with my sephiroth chibi. i just spent hours moving and scaling verticies. (i really need a life, lol)

you can never have it too much like the original, because the new one is smoothed and textured, something the originals never had. also, the new models will probably have a lot more verticies, making things a lot smoother anyway.

since you are ripping people from KH2, are you going to give sephy his wing as well for his normal field model, and/or his battle models (it could at least be added to the safer/seraph sephiroth fight, since he already has his wing there)? just saying, it should be possible, since cloud was given the buster sword in the prp mod (i think thats the one).

I want to keep this game as close to original as possible.
So, most likely, Sephy's wing will be edited out.

well you could still add it into the safer battle, since he already has the wing, since you are doing enemies as well, right?

Considering, Sephi was Good....
But was already suffering from head trauma... when he discovered the  truth about his existence...

And they betrayed him, and they both died. So, Sephi, is a good guy who went astray... then exploded beyond proportion, and was under the influence of his "mother" Jenova.

I am having trouble re-sizing and re-positioning  it.

the original safer had the black wing already, as well as the normal ones.

it kinda took over his right arm though unlike the normal winged sephy, but the wing's textures from say KH2 or CC should still work in this fight.


and in CC, all three were friends, and sephy began to become angry at the shinra (would have fought against them), but after reading everything in hojo's lab, he began to hate everything, and being close to jenova just set him the rest of the way off.

if he had never seen the material, he would likely have fought alongside you in avalanche, or just fought on his own (more likely), but hojo would still have ended up rejoining him with jenova in the reunion, and with the two of them combined, that would be a very bad thing O_o.

and just like angeal and genesis, he too had a wing signifying the addition of jenova's cells to his body, he was just stronger and more in control than the other two because he was born with it, where they were modified through other ways.

been a while since beating cc the last time, so i may be a little off, but this should be relatively correct.

Because it looks more like the original, APZs looks like the Crisis Core Model.

The damn thing seems to reset every time i leave kimera.......
So (the numbers i mean.... the sword in game moves).... so i can't keep track of how far to move the weapon or not.

Yuffie_Lover, you can convert an original buster sword to 3ds in biturn. open the original sword 3ds in blender, then open the new sword and position it to match. export the new sword as 3ds and convert in pcreator. It should be in the right place if you do that. If it is rotated 90degrees then you need to export in blender as an obj. convert it in biturn to 3ds and then do the pcreator part.
