Total forum newbie

This is the first time I've ever been a part of a forum. Don't laugh. How do I add an avatar?
 
Near the top of the screen there should be a "Profile" menu. Under that, there's a "Forum Profile" link that leads to the page where you can change your avatar. You'll have to host it somewhere else though (such as imgur).
 
Under the profile menu I only have account settings and summary. Neither has the option to change avatar.
 
Hmm... if I count and remember right then you should answer this ominous post and then check your profile again...

Yeah, I think you need 5 posts to be able to do some things, like put an avatar or send PMs.
 
Vgr and Kaldarasha correct. This was my mistake. I didn't even realize we put a 5-post minimum on that... though I understand why. That same page in the profile settings allowed people to set homepages and the like, and spambots were abusing it.
 
5 spam messages get's the job done then lol :D Nice avatar btw! Reminds me of "Altered Beast" and "Killer Instict". :P :P
