Will this include grimmy's work on the towns?
 
i will include grimmys towns and albertos oceans, if he sends me the river we can include those as well. Also gjoerulv has given us permission to add his hardcore mod as well. I believe it is near final, so if you want to hold off for the final release we could. It only alters the battle.lgp so it should not affect anything in the TAOH project.
 
hey, how can i apply this changes? coz when i downloaded it, theres no read me file.  :-P
 
if you don't know how to manually apply them, wait for the auto-installer. It will do all the hard work for you, and if sl is up to it we might have a new version out sometimethis week.

Grimmy is just doing some finishing touches on it. So yes it will be included.
 
im not asking for most technical help, just making sure im doing this correctly.... sinse i suck :P

so i create a "towns" folder, in the texture folder, in the WMRP folder, then put the .png  's in the towns folder

and i put all the .tex in world_us.lgp with lgp tools


do i have that correct?
 
FYI don't forget the Canon when it is on Junon. (Just noticed it, don't know whether you forgot it or not.) :)
 
Since the Sister Ray is a model from CC that I already put into my game it will be hard to convince me to do a retexture of the original model. If I do decide that it needs to be done for the sake of others then it'll be done when I finish Midgar and the Gold Saucer. The Rocket also falls into this category.

I know the textures won't be able to be un-offset by a few degrees but towns like Kalm lose a lot of detail in the plain brick look.
It isn't much but I personally prefer just a regular house look to the shed look.  Maybe a few doors or windows? :D
 
Kalm Town, Rocket Town, Corel Prison, Weapon Seller's House, Nibelheim, And Chocobo Sage's House all use the same 2 textures for their walls. The only problem with adding doors and windows to the textures is that the textures are applied differently in every location. So you get floating doors, windows cut in half, windows the size of the whole wall, and a bunch of other alignment issues. The reason I went with a simple texture is that the other texture with doors and windows made the game look stupid, unfinished, and trashy.
 
Hey Grimmy I was thinking on redoing the actual models of the towns using blender or whatever. Just wondering if that would be possible and if you knew the location of these models?
 
They're part of the world map mesh, and therefore cannot be edited as yet.
