So I believe I did everything correct ( I must not have if I have this problem)   But I can't seem to get it full screen... I Changed the option in the config and messed around with it to see if there would be any changes, but nothing.   It just stays in the quarter box size.

I'm using Windows 7- if it helps.  & sorry if I'm like the 10th person to post with this problem.

This is not an issue with FF7Music. You probably have Aali's driver set up wrong.

The only reason I brought it up in here was because it worked fine and was full screen until I installed the FF7Music.  I should of clarified that, sorry.  But I will double check to see if I set it up right or not, cause more then likely you are correct.

Hi there, i've been looking around and noticed a few people have expressed issues with FF7 music not restarting the music tracks with scene changes, and specifically i've been having an issue where when i say exit the battle scene with the fanfare track playing, when it resumes on field no music resumes.

Though, i find if i go into the menu, it will then start playing the music. Is this some issue with the program not receiving the flags it needs to start up the music tracks, and or has there been any progress made in this or similar cases? after spending several hours searching i haven't discovered any definitive information on this issue.

Unfortunately, that sort of problem seems to show up at random, some people have it, some people don't, and I haven't been able to figure out why. I *think* it's the program's fault, in which case I can't do anything about it, but it's possible I'm wrong and a small reconfiguration can help. I really don't know, though.

In need of help. Why cant I hear the sound effects? I mean the sounds when i'm attacking, when I move my pointer in the menu, and such?

Im using vista x32. I played this game last year with the same laptop. But the SFX works back then. But now it doesn't. I only tried installing the 1.02 patch, aalis custom drivers, avalanche, millenia's cloud swords and ff7 music (using the old method).

Open ff7config and make sure the sound is set up right. This doesn't seem like a ff7music related problem, more likely you have the wrong device chosen in the Sound tab.

Just tried FF7Music for the first time, and it's working fine so far. Only one issue, and that's when the songs are supposed to fade-out (like right before the FMV of the first reactor blowing up plays). They just keep playing instead.

Also, the PSFs don't sound exactly like in the PSX. Is that normal?

Nothing that can be done with fade-out issues, it's a problem with FF7Music itself. As for PSFs not sounding exactly the same, it really should, since it's the music data taken straight FROM the game.

Yeah I was going to mention that. I guess we'll wait for the next version, see what comes up.

This could be a while. Ficedula hasn't release a new version of FF7Music in years.

I downloaded the installer and it works great but I have one problem at the junon airport.

I understand that the Fade in/out option doesnt work, but when cloud climbs up the voltage tower to see the highwind for the first time, the music stops. Thats fine and wind sounds are played for a while. But when I go into the Soliders quarters the music doesnt restart. It keeps silent. And then when I go outside to the parade, the music is still missing. I saved a game file inside the Junon Airport (the soliders quarters) and the music plays fine. But as soon as I go back outside to the place with the highwind and the music turns off, it wont resume again. Is there any fix for this?

Thanks!

I am not familiar with this problem, but it sounds like it's a bug in FF7Music. I've not run into this myself, but I doubt there's anything that can be done to fix it short of modifying the program itself, something which I am not equipped to do.

Can you confirm that this doesnt happen in your game? I have tried my laptop now as well and the exact same problem proceeds I am using Aali's drivers. I have used 7.9 and 7.10b but there is no difference. I also am using the FMV restoration and I have even taken out the Highwind FMV and the elevator (lift outside) FMV to see if they affected anything. And still nothing? If you don't encounter this problem there is bound to be a solution on my side then, that I have not found. But if you do encounter the same bug then I there is nothing much I can do.

I've realised the FF7 music log starts each time with "Prevented from resuming". And thats exactly what is happening here, the program can Stop fine and play the Midi effect but can't resume the FF7 music again. Is there a way I can tweak this?

In ff7music, you can untick "Obey stops". This should prevent it from stopping there in the first place.

If you give me your save file, I'll be glad to check it for you and see if I have the same problem. Truth be told, I haven't played through the game start to finish in about three years, so I'm not surprised that I wouldn't have noticed this problem.

Thanks man! Here is the save file

http://www.mediafire.com/?hndhsvl0d6yttmk

The very first save file is the quickest. Once you load it, you will hear the "parade" music, once you go outside and jump on the lift you should hear the music turn off, then try to go back down the lift it will not resume.

The second save file (entitled Junon) is right before you climb the tower as well. Just in case you wanted to check that.
