I have seen KH models in Counter Strike and GTA mods and Square hasn't done a thing...

Actually I think Square is happy that there is Qhimm community. Our mods and patches have enhanced the game and fixed tons of bugs of the crappy PC version.
 
With KH it's not square that's the problem, it's Disney. They have super copyright, they are extremely protective of their characters. I read (possibly on here actually) that they shut down a daycare because it had a picture of micky mouse on the wall.

it also depends on how high of a profile the mods you saw were, they could have been secret, and kept out of square and disney's eyes.

It's a grey area really.

for me, the laziness comes from having to chop up and cap the models, which is demotivational...or something

Are you seroius? WOW they really need to grow up! thats just pathetic. Also i doubt anyone has been "scared off" more like there busy with there everyday lives or there working on it and planning an update soon.

This is a very BAD question to ask. It just makes modders frustrated. We don't get paid to mod ff7, its just our hobby. If you really wanna see updates, why don't you go and do it yourself?

If you can't do it then be patience please

I think nearly two weeks without a single post in this thread justifies questioning the status of the project.  I'll be sure to never inquire about a project again though, clearly my mistake.
 
Well since you all want an update....I wasnt planning on showing this to anyone that wasnt Neo and ff7rules until i was sure it was ready, but...


Dont expect updates from me in a long time, i have loads to do, there wont be any updates until July at the earliest. You may get one in June, if i have free time.

I started on her last month, and it may be a long time before she gets finished so hopefully this should apease you guys a little.  :lol:

Slayersnext's Tifa inspired me a lot, as you can probably tell.

She has KH2 Tifa head, and her body is using texture-maps from Hunter's JKA Tifa.
I used CC Cissnei's beach-wear model as the base, but I had to modify it quite extensively so her proportions matched the original Nomura sketch more.
Her face was also tweaked so it isn't the same as the KH2 version.

I started working on fixing her hair a few days ago, so it still looks a little choppy (and she doesn't have a ponytail yet either).
She is coming along though, and I will continue to work on her whenever I get time to spare.

Elena has been put on the back seat for now. Tifa is far more important right now, me-thinks  :-D


I had originally planned to "donate" her to MrAdults for his AVALANCHE game, but I decided not to because I believe his project deserves a BETTER Tifa model than what I can ever make.

So she will be making her appearance here in NeoCloud and Espio's Mod instead  :-)

Good to see my 2nd favourate character in ff7 (first been cloud) getting some attention. I can see you have used the orginial artwork as a guide like you said and thats awesome.

also to those who are scared about "kingdom hearts" models i just wanna tell you they have appeared in other non-ff games

Yeah those have been around for ages but I think you fail to see the opints being made.

Anyhoo looks fantastic guys cant wait to see how this progresses, Might get on the bandwagon if I can find that disc of uncompiled files somewhere.
