User levels

You might have noticed every user now has a level, display next to their rank in the post. At the moment, this level is calculated solely on a user's post count, but it will be extended in the future to prevent flooding just to get better levels. Also, expect further trinkets that'll help enhance the feel of the board  :D
 
Hmn....  Now to find some poor low-level poster to challenge to a battle....Must master that last Shield materia...!

I have to congratulate u on the new forum, it finally looks similar to the gem that was once the swipnet forum (i think) this has more features and looks nicer, but the original was easier on the eye :)
 
Levels.. hmmm... I like the whole level idea.. but stars rocked too..
 
number 2 here :) im sure qhimm is changing it to include something like # words / post. probably just for me too :) ill be level 2 instead of number 2 :)
 
I like the setup now that the posts you havn't read have that little red thingy next to them (when it works I might add)

Sorry, no words-per-post calculations. Levels are calculated real-time, so one would have to screen through every single post on the board and count the words each time your level was to be displayed.
 
Well, in an arguement...  your opinion would be taken more over mine :wicked: , if no one else actually knew the material we were arguing over... I guess?

Actually I would agree with you Sir MOT!  Remember you have managed to mind control the lower level slimes such as myself into smashing all X-Boxes that we come across.

So how is the level calculated?
Is it something with the user-post-percent-of-all-posts ?

I like the levels, but wouldn't it be cool to have some description title other than the newbie, crazy poster, no life titles.  I mean, we can keep those titles, but we can have something that describes us, like for example, Alhexx "a heartbroken cyberstalker", Caddberry "tripped out dude", Qhimm "the forum deity", something like that.  We can be able to edit those descriptions.
