This is NOT a model switch...this is a level edit, so she shows up like she should normally. I WILL be released on the 31/1/08. (that's tomorrow :P) I will post instructions and the files then. :-D

Extract flevel.lgp but DO NOT decompress them. Then stick those files in and away you go!

Levels changed are the ones you see there in the pictures.

Did you changed the storyboard on Aeris' death and all that stuff,
or you made a subquest for returning Aeris alive, or what?

It could be interesting if it's what I think it is...
 
Having a subquest would be nice. Personally I'm just glad someone's working on it. I was hoping for either this, or maybe something to get a Sephiroth clone into the party to fill that gap in my party select screen Aeris left. Storyline-wise her death was great. Gameplay-wise not so much.
 
im looking forward to playing it, will it effect bplaying as tifa much
 
Nope TIfa nor any other character is affected by this patch.
 
so with this mod, can we not fight with her or add her to the party?
 
You can fight with her, just use jenova to add her to the team. It will work with the German version but....the text is english   :-(

I'm sorry .. can I ask how to use Aeris after changed the flevel.lgp ? I have to use Jenova right ?

So you just fixed the scenes that was making the game crash using Aeris with Jenova patcher ... am I right ?

i think a few people have had the theory that you could edit the script after she died to allow her to re join without usign a save editor.  could it actualy be done though?
 
Most likely. I've been trying to reconfigure the entire introduction of the game using Meteor, but that's been one problem after another. I can only imagine the horror that creating an entire quest would be. It would be nice if an effort were created for a lot of people to play with Meteor, see what commands work and can be inserted, then maybe improve Meteor to utilize "drag and drop" commands that are guaranteed to not crash the game. Meteor has a lot of potential, but I'll be damned if I can actually tap into it.
 
Fieldscript is very hard and very powerful. The instability is match bu it's limitless potential.
 
Wouldn't her death scene be weird? It would be like watching her die but she isn't dead. Or what?
 
Thanks for the patch, I've been looking for something like this for quite some time!  A patch that undoes Sephiroth's cheapest of cheap shots.  This patch must LIVE!!!
 
Finally a patch that makes it so I can use Aerith. Made me mad how she died like that after I invested time into her in the first disc. Can this patch be used with others such as sephiroth's and zack's and other patches.

Yep. This patch basically loads Aeris' model and animation data and places her in the levels.
 
Cool cause I'm playing through the game as Zack right now and I want Aerith to live!!!!!!!!!! Screw Tifa! Anyhow good job on the patch Ultima.
