1)In ff7_opengl.cfg change show_missing_textures = yes
2)Play to the needed battle scene
3)In APP.LOG an entry like "INFO: tried to load C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Soft, Inc.\Final Fantasy VII\/mods/none/battle/STAGE03_T01_00.png, failed"
4)mods/none/battle/ - path you need to create
5)Then you copy there your textures and rename it acoording to APP.LOG (STAGE03_T00_00.png,STAGE03_T01_00.png etc.)

Looking in Zangan, I see that:
    OPAC and OPAD are Sector 1 Train
    OSAF is Reactor 1 Entrance
    PJAF is Sector 8

Now where is the save game for each section?

Yes I do, but I mean... You launch a new game and here you go...

Vgr, thanks, that was oddly helpful.

Looks good:
osaf = stage12_t03_00.png
opac = stage09_t00_00.png
opad = stage09_t01_00.png

Just a guess:
opaf = stage09_t03_00.png
oqac = stage10_t00_00.png
pjac = stage29_t00_00.png
pjaf = stage29_t03_00.png
