No this is not to start a argument. i wanted to see who all got it right. If Aeris was a mistack and it should be Aerith then why was it never fixed in FF7 they would have called back the game and fix it but they didn't. My sis has the greatest hits for the
PlayStation. The Greatest Hits always comes after the firest sold a lot of copyes. If it was a mistake the Greatest hits would say Aerith not Aeris. But it says Aeris.

If you arent listening to what people are telling you and have already made your mind up, why ask a question?  The writers of the game have told you what is correct yet you think they are wrong?

And is arguing over this really necessary, everyone?  We are talking about a fictional character's name and whether it ends with "s" or "th".  Does it make the slightest difference?  It's like getting into an argument with your parents because they named you Ivan at birth when you prefer the name Evan.  It's just a name!

That is the point.  When a person won't accept what the writers have said or that all future installments have shown Aerith, you know there is an issue with the person and not the question.
 
Future installments aren't the original idea. So saying its the developers' idea to change it, then wtf. First they said Aeris, but they thought Aerith was a better idea. that doesn't matter. The name is still Aeris. There's no issue with the person, its just the difference between opinions, and the difference between a few control freak assholes.
 
When Vegeta was first introduced in Dragon Ball Z, his colors were all wrong, such as red hair. This was a mistake caused by the fact that Toei Animation hadn't seen any color images of Vegeta at that point (he wasn't shown in color in that issue), so they just guessed at the colors. Then, when they realized their mistake, they fixed it in all future incarnations.

Just because they originally portrayed his hair as red doesn't make it red. It makes it a MISTAKE.

Aeris was a translation mistake caused by the fact that the localization team didn't get that her name was supposed to have all the letters of "earth" in it, so they just guessed at the spelling. Then, when they realized their mistake, they fixed it in all future incarnations.

Just because they originally spelled it Aeris doesn't make it Aeris. It makes it a MISTAKE.
