With Episode 7 making a lot of noise, I've got to know who was behind Vader's voice in the English version (not the version we had here) and yeah.. well okay.

Then I saw when he made an appearance in the BBT (Sheldon's face is priceless btw haha) and yeah.. the guy looks funny and must be a myth, no doubt.
But.. he seems somehow vaguely familiar to me?

This morning I was listening to an OST I like on yt, then it's a scene from that movie, then another scene, and I look on the right and I see that thumbnail.. James Earl Jones.........and omg, truth was revealed

THULSA DOOM!!

ohoh
And then I was all in owww Waaaaaawww haha x) So that's him. Big respect.
The role is wonderfully interpreted, great performance!
And now that I know, I fell in love with Mr Jones

The two scenes I was watching

And the music

all that makes me shiver

Fun fact: Originally, David Prowse spoke all of Vader's lines with everyone acting under the assumption that those would be the lines in the final cut. Turns out Lucas didn't think the voice sounded good for tone of the character and the sound was muffled from behind the mask and got good ole JEJ to re-dub it all.

Seen this before. That's not had all the treatment that the released version has, but it's clear he doesn't have the correct voice for the part.  It had to be someone with a deeper voice.

I read somewhere that Prowse's relationship with Lucas was bad. He had given spoilers away about The Empire strikes back while the movie was being shot.
It is said that, since Lucas then did not trust him anymore, Vader's line in the script became "I killed your father" and that it's the line Prowse did play, and no one knew about the real line, not even Hamill.
If I recall well, that's from an interview with someone from the staff I saw on yt. Being given wrong text, being re-dubbed, not being Vader's face when he is unmasked, all that had pissed him off.

I didn't realise the voice of J.E. Jones is a bit pitched for Vader's voice. In French his voice is even deeper.

And yeah, no Darth Vader around here, it's Dark Vador  -_-
