That's why I said "at least 3 people" cause I was sure I missed one or two...

SaiNt, Chibimaruko, Joey, sengzai, and yuna are from Malaysia.

The rest are from the U.S. and from England, and from Sweden of course.

Aside from that, FFXI is said that it could also be for the GameCube (since square and nintendo reconcilitated).

PurpleSmurf/vvalentine: hello!!! Yuna is from INDONESIA!!!!

It's 2 diffrent countries....

I remember reading that Squaresoft wants to release FFXI for as many platforms as they can so that it will be available for more people to play online (I guess MMORPGs are more fun with more people... never played one though).

PS2, Gamecube, PC, and even possibly X-Box are all options.

I also read that news before, I think FFXI will in PC platform, but I also hope FFX can got a PC version

I think its pretty much been decided that there will be no FFX for PC though.  To bad :-p

Yeah. What hurts even more is that it's one of the better FF games, IMHO of course...

Yes, I know.  Hopefully they will release it for Gamecube :-p

I think I might be just hoping for too much, though.

When I heard about the SquareSoft  - Nintendo "war treaty" I jumped up in the air for joy, spun around, and said: "It's about Bloody F***ing Time!!!"
Whoooo!!!

SQUARESOFT + NINTENDO is a good news, but for me not so important, because I hope it will release new FF series in PC platform only, but also hope in other console too, so everybody can play it.

I prefer to get the console versions because they don't take up disk space, you can't get into trouble for owning one of them (emulators), and the files don't get deleted when you're computer has a virus... other than that I like the PC versions too.

its more than likely that ff wont come to pc. the japanese use consoles and the jaspanese like final fantasy.

Seph3d: It'd be nice if it *was* so easy. The hard part is emulating the custom hardware.

Remember the PS1? 33MHz processor, very limited 3d capabilities? Now, you're talking a 500MHz processor with a reasonable (16MB+) video card to get anything like decent games out of a PS emulator.

Now, extend that to the PS2, with its custom video processor with its ridiculous bandwidth ... current hardware can't cut it. I doubt we'll have *playable* PS2 emulators for years, plural.

Notice the cpu power ratio (500mhz needed to emulate a 33mhz cpu).  I read somewhere that, assuming the horsepower ratio is the same, you'd need like a 6Ghz (speeding ticket sold separately! :o) cpu to properly run the ps2 emulator.

As for simply using emulators for the games as opposed to authentic pc versions, I agree, but I draw the line at needing to use XA audio for bgm.  From what it looks like when it's decoding XA on my system, the it keeps streaming it to the hard drive, copying down the audio to the drive.  And keeps writing.  And still writing (HD activity light was solid red.  With my new cd drive, its not solid, but there is constant HD activity for the entire time of playback)......eventually it wore out the heads on my last hard disk, causing me and my dad to spend another freaking $129 on a new disk.

Final Fantasy release in PC platform mean that people don't have a console(or no PS2 coz FF in PS2 only), can play on thier PC and no need to buy a console only because want to play a good game like FF.  :z
