which FF7 patches do i need?

i got win2k and a geforce 4

i wanted to know which patches i can download without "destroying" the game.... or which patches are necessary???
 
Is it a GeForce4 MX or Ti?

You need the chocobo patch and the 1.02 patch.  If you're using a Ti, you'll also need to disable 8-bit palleted textures in Rivatuner for the text to look right.
 
is teher any other way then rivatuner i am not using riva tuner but powerstrip... o_O

if there's no other way  please explain it better to me ( i am not very good at english :)

Is there an FAQ thread about this.. Like basic how to instructions to get FF7/8 to run properly? If not someone should write one..

Oh oh i see dont look at me LoL I havent even tried to run 7 or 8 on my pc since xp install.. Geez.. that feels almost like i am not being a good Final Fantasy nut.. its a travesty.. LoL

thanks aaron... i used riva tuner.... but 8bit palleted textures were already enabled O_O :=)

so the only things i need is

FIRST aply the 1.02 patch
THEN the Choboco patch

:)

other question: can i run FF7 with d3dmode and FAA and AF?

I said to disable them if your text looks wierd in the game.
But yeah, 1.02 then Chocobo should work.
 
oh ^^

good.....

i get teh game next week, but i downloaded teh demo, but i can't open Direkt3d agming only software mode... but in the original D3D will be possible with my g4, or?
 
good..... i'm so happy... i played the game on my 233mhz laptop 4 years ago.... :D
