Looks fantastic, but I do think that the blade should be crystal, it's just not the Ultima Weapon otherwise.
Choice is always good though.
 
As I already said, I'm looking how to do it if possible with textures..
 
If you couldn't figure out how to do it good with a transparent texture, you could always get rid of the texture in the red part and have it vector colored so that way you could keep the nice

metal look while still having the inside look crystal-like.

But im sure you'll figure it out.  :-)

HOLY... looks awesome. Thank god you didn't base it off of the crisis core sweeper. The original has a similar, but better design.
 
The only bad thing I can say about that image is that the FOV is terribly exaggerated. The texture is amazing.

lol@the tea kettle on it's back. Wasn't someone else also redoing the sweeper model or was that scrapped? or is this the same model?

I skimmed through this post, so I don't know all the details, but I was wondering how long you think it will be till you get all the conversions done?  I think what you've done is AWESOME!!!
