by the way millenia, is about your barret model. Is awesome! I really love this model but I don't see the belt that he has got with a few bullets.
Sorry, this is not a critique, only a commentary. awesome job with all the models!  :-)

The Barret model is Timu Sumisu's, you should post a reply in his topic about his models https://www.ff7catalog.com/threads/5767/
 
So, how's this project coming along? There hasn't been much news on it recently...

Argh, as awesome as these are and as much as I'm in love with them it seems that the textures aren't showing up in battle.  The models are definitely replaced, but the textures are just solid white.  I'd assume that using aali's driver the textures would go into the texture folder in the directory but without any textures to put it there...  :roll:

You need to use a custom cloud with one texture and 10 slots; apz's recommended.

The textures go with the models straight into the lgp (the file is called rtad, if I remember correctly) - if you have a proper Cloud and Aali's driver it should just immediately work.

It seems that the models are on the smaller files and the textures are in rtad.

I'm trying to get your models to work with apz's buster sword model but since the files are grouped that way I can't seem to find a solution.
Not to say I don't love your texture job, the detail is amazing.  It's just that I watched Advent Children for the first time last night (in it's own righteous nerdom, it had some moments and good music) and the clips of the old buster sword compared with apz's model make it seem like his was modeled after that rendition.  I like that, but I also really like your other models.
 
Any ideas why I can't get the swords to display the texture in the game?  I'm using APZ buster and texture.. so that means RTAC and RTAD are already taken up.
I've renamed the RTAD that is included with this pack to RTAE, converted the RTCL-RTCN to .3ds, imported them into PCreator and changed their texture ID to 2 (even tried 3).
I replaced the original swords with them, opened rtaa in kimera and all the swords are still white.  (RTAA is set to use 10 textures)
If I rename Millenia's RTAD to RTAE.tex and try to 'add texture' in Kimera, I get "error 5".

What gives?  I can't even extract the texture using Biturn...
 
You can't use Biturn because the texture is converted with that Img2tex thingamajigger thus it's 24-bit which Biturn doesn't understand.

I have no idea why your approach is not working, then again I didn't really think that anybody would want to use some OTHER sword besides mine and still have the others :P
(Although this was inevitable if I am to replace all of the weapons eventually - not enough texture slots.)
 
Can you recheck your upload just to verify it?  Any textures I've made that are 24bit, when I view them with biturn it displays as a translucent rainbow color and, I can also extract them and it becomes a small 40x40 rainbow colored .bmp.

Also, I think your buster sword is really good, but after playing Crisis Core, I like to stick to that look  :-)   Hell, I would even be up for combining APZ texture with yours, so I only have to use RTAD.  I just can't extract the damn thing...


Just tested with unaltered files... Using the original apz cloud, and extracting everything you provided in place of those files, the swords still turn up white and I get an error opening rtaa
 
wow seems like there is some excellent work going on here So mellenia how many models have you completed so far?
 
I don't know if this has been discussed (if it has, I apologize) but when will the Barret model be released? (If released).

Lol. Well, I'm not trying to rush you guys or anything, but that model does look bad ass and I hope to use it in the near-future.
