Myself and whitERaven are doing Vincents Guns (all as originals)
[Edit] Silver rifle being changed though and short barrel goin to be a sawn-off

Will post updates as a gun is modeled and whitERaven will post the Texture updates

LoL, a thread already.. I still need to work on this textures, however I have a busy sched ahead me this weekend, so this might take a while.. Rest assured, I'll work on them and post updates here.. :) :) :)
 
I assume Tifa model will be on hold now, right?

Also, it would be awesome if you could do an extra Death Penalty model like this:

yea Tifa model on hold a mate of mine is gonna do the texturing for her when he gets back from overseas (save me time)

Plus i can model guns pretty fast,
Was going to keep it all as original guns but i'll do the DOC Death Penalty gun iswell at the end incase anyone wants to swap out for it
(there already is the DOC Death Penalty on this site btw)

Well after i've finished Vincent i'll prob start on Barret if his weapons havn't been done in HD by then
 
Just got home after work.. it's pretty late already here.. so before I get to bed I decided to do a quick run on the quick silver texture.. here's my work so far..

when I  have more time I'll add more details, then port it ff7 format..base on my previous work, there's a big descripancy on how the model looks when rendered by 3d modeling softwares and on how it looks in-game. So I'll continue doing the textures while using kimera to preview the model.. preview in kimera is much closer to how the model appear ingame.
 
I'd appreciate some work on Barrett's weapons. Thanks for Vincent's though!!! I love how detailed and reflective Mike's style look too.

Yep, I like mikes style too :) :) :).. I may even use some of his works as a guide.. afterall I'm still new to this texturing stuff..
well any tips to make it more detailed? I'm out of ideas since the original quick silver has plain looks.
 
I do the same when making shades for face textures.. I'll try that.. thanks! Also I think I might change the base black color to a more chrome like one..

EDIT:

Added details, I used images of real guns for reference.. add some highlights but I think they're still lacking.. I'll improve them later..

i like that black better, you could also do a details layer for wear and tear such as scratches.
I've done that before on black guns just here and there on corners and edges but light dodge around 20% strength it comes up quite nice

BTW bolt release is on right side of gun lol

LoL, actually i just placed the uv's for left and right together.. the bolt realease is  visible on both sides ;D ;D ;D
Is that ok? I think it wont be noticed much ingame..
 
Thats actually why i didnt model the bolt release on to save you the hassle of doing it since you wont see it in game anyway

EDIT:

also if you do a logo on the grip do what i did above, i cut a circle out of the grip texture put a inner shadow on the circle for depth and pasted a .png logo in it, then did an outer shadow on the logo

i see you going in order same with the image..
lol btw when you  come to the silver you might want change it a bit.. I'm not sure what others think.. but I find the original silver rifle to be a bit childish.. :D
 
I'll put that in all guns.. LoL this are your models afterall.. I'll just find a place to stick my logo.. lol, btw I wont be able to mod anything starting tomorrow till monday, just send me the guns I'll texture them when I have time.. ;D ;D
