You all know what I'm about to say on Darkness' post but I like being unpredictable so I won't say it
At least the skins make the error messages much prettier to look at! Wonder what fancy stuff they did to the Blue Screen Of Death...someone please tell me as soon as you have had it running for a week and had had a chance to see it?
(Yeah I'm being prejudistic here, sorry. Actually my win2k runned for half a year without a blue screen, so I should know. Except from the fact that my win2k install has been around considerable longer than that time period and at this time the rate is pretty high....do windows detoriate over time so that the customers that doesn't know the magic of a reinstall run and buy the latest upgrade?)
See, I didn't use the L* word even once!
[EDIT: Disable stupid graphical smilies, if it can't be done on telex it's not worth doing...oh and I don't mind yours ;-)]
Heh, I made the rather surprising choice of overwriting Windows 2000 with Windows XP. Professional version, but still. Let's just see how the stability decreases/increases (well, it *could* happen)...
Maybe... In the year or so I've been running 2k, I've only seen the BSOD 3 times, and that was all within the last week, when I was adding/removing/re-installing drivers for my hardware.
So I think they've gotten pretty good at stopping it from happening.

Jari: Ms could not put any pirate protection into XP's (and any other soft) because it would backfire at normal users, somehow. And that wouldn't help microsoft in their situation.
Like did you heard about that newest audio CD's that can't be copied and played on PC ? It will hurt only people who will buy it in shop. Pirates will have it anyhow. I think newes album of M.Jackson has this special.
As for BSOD: I got them all the time... at least 5 per week...
As for Copy Protection: I've read an article in my PC magazine PC-Welt. These protections are quite useless. You can burn most of them with CloneCD. And I'm sure, once the protections are released, the producers of CloneCD & Co will find a way to get around this illusion of security...
