If your movies are playing upside-down then you're probably not using my driver.

Probably another case of Vista's VirtualStore or UAC screwing you over.

They changed UAC on Win7 so that its' exactly the same except harder to disable. I miss the days of XP, when there was no UAC to worry about.

But didn't she say that PC was running XP? UAC wouldn't be the problem.

Which build do you have?  With 7201 whenever the UAC pops up there is a small link provided, you click that link and you can set the UAC to very high, or very low.  I've got a ton of different programs installed and after turning it to very low, it hasn't bothered me since

I am playing THe game on XP...

I said it worked perfectly on my Vista..

I am having trouble getting it to work on my XP

lol..

but i am going to go fiddle with it today..

Hopefully it works

I turned it off, but I didn't notice the link in the dialog boxes. I had to navigate Win7's mess of a control panel to find it. I miss older control panels, where everything was either its own item or a tab in another one, rather than having to navigate a bunch of links and separate dialog boxes to change anything.

set it to classic view Covarr.. there is an option for that to the left.. when you first enter control panel..
its like this for Vista.. and WIndows 7 i think

I know about classic view. The problem is, even from inside a single control panel, you have to go through a maze of links and dialog boxes to get anywhere.

I'll tell you what, Covarr, it has gotten annoying trying to navigate around all the options.

The solution I found is to always use the search function in the start menu.  It ALWAYS guesses what I was looking for.  The only drawback is some internal programs like regedit have to be typed in fully to show up.

Okay... everything is working now... except the FMVs...
the game itself still plays.. just some of the FMVs won't play at all.....
Like when the game opens... you here the chugging of the train.. and all the sound effects.. just a black screen though..
then a text box appears.. "c'mon newcomer." (still black screen)
i open the menu.. and all the color floods back...

it seems to just skip over the FMVs instead of freezing..

*edit*
its Grimmy's FMVs that aren't working...
it can read the movies fine from the disk.. and if i put the FMV on the hard drive...
its Grimmy's HQ fan-made videos that are the problem...

If the FMV aren't renamed as "avi"  it will do this and if the FMV fails it will do this also :)
