Ying/Yang is happy/sad

Uhm, just a quick Q, because i have not the means to find out myself...

The YingYang creature in the Nibelheim mansion basement...is there an effect when the game declares "Ying is happy" or "yang is sad"?  I've also seen the word "Ecstatic" used" on ying, but, mweh.

Does it increase attack/toughness or anything?  If no one knows off-hand, is there a way i can find out using available tools (like on fice's or alexx's site?)

I believe if Yang is killed while excited, he is more likely to use his suicide attack. I've forgotten; it might instead be a higher chance when he's happy, but that makes less sense.
