I changed all the Nightmare links to Google docs in the Big List and in Bootleg.
Are you sure it's still linking to mediafire?
Delete BFE.ini and see if the links change.

Oops, I didn't update the links in the added mods list! [fixed]
The links in Bootleg are Google docs though.

I can't download 2 files :
- Nightmare OST.part3.rar( says to me that it contains a virus (?), and only the owner ca ndownload it). Anyway, don't understand
- flevel.rar( redirect to the Kuugen tweeter, but no links.
 
Does the new Final Fantasy VII re-release needs to be converted to the old first with Krammer's tool or Bootleg 040 handles everything just by selecting the .exe?

Those files are only necessary if you're installing Kuugen's Nightmare Conversion.
There is a link to the flevel.rar at the top of Kuugen's twitter page.
Qhimm doesn't permit a direct link to the file.
I'm sure Kuugen will fix the problem with the link soon.

Bootleg 040 converts the 2012 ReRelease automatically.
Bootleg attempts to find the installation folder, but if you have both versions of the game installed it will default to the old folder.
If you want to revert to the ReRelease after installing Bootleg, you'll have to manually rename flevel.bak to flevel.lgp.
The new game will have issues playing with the old flevel.lgp.

I just tried to download part 3 of the ost and it won't let me.

lil under a month ago i downloaded the entire torrent file of all the mods.   will that contain all the mods needed for the V40?  or do I need to download the mods listed above?   Since deployed I can not do any P2p / torrent downloading.. everything has to be direct.   Thanks for any info and help.  Hope everyone had a great New Years.

This means that to play the modded FFVII I leave the flevel.lgp as it is? And to return to the new FFVII I rename it? And what about the battle and char lgps? Sorry if I didn't get this right...
 
Renaming flevel.bak to flevel.lgp will restore the ReRelease flevel.
The other LGP files will still contain the modified models and textures.

Using modified LGP's with the ReRelease is untested.
I don't yet know if the ReRelease will work with all of the new models and textures contained within the LGP archives.

It appears that the 2012 ReRelease of FF7 is playable and achievements work even with the modified flevel.lgp.
I've not attempted to complete the ReRelease using the old modified flevel.lgp.

Hi, it would be great if someone could help with this little problem.

I installed the disc version to D/Games/Final Fantasy VII (without installing any direct x or synthes..sound..thing)
after that I installed Bootleg with the following settings:

Everything installed fine, no errors or anything else, but Final Fantasy VII won't start
(the only thing I did was to click once in the Graphic settings and corrected the sound driver when the OpenGL settings came up)

After that I bought the downloadable version from the Square Enix shop and Final Fantasy VII does work without mods, with mods same result (won't boot at all)

Can someone help me,please? I really don't know what I did wrong

Make sure that you've correctly configured the GPU.
Post your app.log.
 
Now thats the funny part, since Final Fantasy VII won't start my app.log file is completely empty
 
im nearly positive that your netbook is powerful enough to actually handle a bootleg modded version of FF7, it is netbook with a very basic discreet gpu
