Im having problems with the sound at the Inns and talking with NPCs, the Goodnight theme doesnt play and when I talk to some specific NPCs the text box appears like 10 seconds late.

The Goodnight theme can not be played with Aalis driver.
Aali know that, but can't change.

In the other problem you could try to change some settings in the ff7_opengl.cfg, eg

compress_textures = off

The input was very helpful.
I've discovered the bug with the foreign language conversion.
It should work fairly well now that I've fixed it.
Meanwhile, use DLPB's converter to install Bootleg on foreign language versions of the game.

Evening! I'm very happy that I waited for this 040 release. I had some problems with previous version, probably because I didn't convert it right. Now the game works just fine after bootleg, BUT I still can't run FF7Config.exe! Had same problem before, but now I can play the game though.

After ~5hours of smooth gameplay, I ran to first problem! Game crashes in Yuffie fight and it's weird & glitchy. I'm using FF7 2012 version and Bootleg 040. Here's my APP.log, which was empty last time. I have no idea does this offer any information lol. (Still new to this modding stuff). Thanks! =)

He did. It was going to be implemented into Menu Overhaul for the MO6 release, but then some of the translators couldn't finish the job. It looks like Italian only will be supported. He says he will create a tutorial to show how to edit your own copies to work using his tools.

Run after the integration necessarily FF7Config and make all settings and test.

Your app.log is not very big, I think it is a leftover from a previous session.
Look in the folder "FF7Music" to see if there is a newer splashing around.

Ok erm this never used to happen before Im in disc 1 where Cloud meets Tifa and they are talking about their childhood then when it loads when the kid versions of them are meant to appear the screen goes black while i can still hear the music and i get an error message.

Someone else reported a crash at this point in the game as well.

I checked over my mods folder, and none of those files reporting the error exist.

I think we've encountered our first major bug for 040, so hang in there while we  figure out a fix!

Are you sure? You're looking for all the files that reported failed in your APP.log. My folders do not have them. I am going to test this scene soon to see if I get the same report.

What Field Texture option did you choose in Bootleg? Did you select Remove Glitched?

I can't help but notice that the \ switches to a / and why it does this.

In any case, I don't think it's going to be an issue for PitBrat and Vgr to figure this out and fix it

Oh sorry yeah your right those files aren't in that folder and i chose 'Bootlegged' and i checked the 'Remove Glitched' option maybe that since those images are gone/deleted when the game looks for those field backgrounds and it could not find it there so i think it looks for that same one in flevel.lgp and it could not read or detect it..something like that im sure lol...yeah hope they can fix our issue

Okay, good. Having the correct information is important 

You're close, but not quite correct. It doesn't look inside flevel.lpg, but rather mods/bootleg/flevel. It's a folder, and you'll notice the files that failed aren't in there as well. And it's odd that /mods/bootleg/char doesn't even exist (for me), so the checks on the char folder are a definite failure.

One more try:

1. Installed FF7 from original disc to D:\Final Fantasy VII
2. Extracted Bootleg 40 to D:\Bootleg\Mods along with all downloaded mods
3. Ran BFE.exe and set up my choices, then ran Bootleg
4. After completing the whole process this is from my D:\Final Fantasy VII\data\sound\BootlegSFX_log.txt

...however it does not quite match exactly what's happening in Bootleg.bat - that one is installing this mod by running BootlegSFX.exe after copying it to %FF7Path%\data\sound\
And then the conclusion is written to BootlegSFX_log.txt.

No matter how much I try I always get
Error      Target folder not found. (1004)
Error      Patch failed. (1004)
which is odd and I don't understand the error.

Even more odd that this is what I get in Bootleg.log

The most likely reason you're receiving all of those missing textures warnings is because you enabled the MISSING TEXTURES option in Bootloader.  The messages are generated when a texture isn't present in the mods folder.  The game uses the textures from the .lgp archive instead.  This is normal.

The sound patch will fail if you have anti-virus or malware scanning software enabled.
