Hello,

I'm running the Steam release on a Windows 7 desktop, and I did move the Steam installation to a non system directory.  Had no problems with that.  I then proceeded to download the mods that were given for the "Minimal" preset setup.  I did download the files.  I also unzipped (which I'm not sure I needed to do), and when I rerun the mod list, I have only green and yellow items on the mod list, so it looks like I'm clear for the next step.  However...when I click on Run Bootleg, the command prompt does appear for roughly 5 seconds.  The window then closes, and nothing else happens.  I'm returned to the Bootleg program.

Something I'm just now noticing in the instructions that may have been a problem is that I had an internet explorer open as well as some mozilla firefox windows.  Where do I need to go from here?

The files aren't supposed to be extracted. Use the exact files that are downloaded for your mod folder and check the Installation tab to be sure everything is directed to the right locations.

Well, I went back and deleted the old Bootleg folder.  Redownloaded, didn't extract, but it didn't change my results, unfortunately.  It did seem like my command prompt window was open for a second or two longer.  Doublechecked the locations, which seem to be accurate.  I'm still not getting to the next step.  Any other ideas?

Well, I seem to have gotten the hang of things on my ruthless Sephiroth.

I have one problem though, him and his flashy effects are missing.

Any ways i can fix this?

My internet stuck somehow ...

Hey guys,

Does anyone know why the links to the anycd links won't open?  I have tried many different approaches to opening them (different browser, different sites)  but no luck.  There are other sites but I don't trust them.

Some file hosting erase the data after a certain time, so there are often dead links here.

Any idea where I can get a safe version of this file?

Thanks for the reply

Awesome that worked thanks a lot for the help there.  One other thing when the instructions say add line load_library = Multi.dll  to ff7_opengl.cfg.  How is this done?  Is it under properties > details somewhere?

FF7_opengl.cfg is a file in your game directory. Just open it with notepad and add that text.

Ah of course okay,  It seemed to already be there at the bottom I will load up the game and try it out.

Thanks again to those who helped out.

I just installed everything and it all works perfectly except that there is a purple list on the left side with things like ram time and palette stuff, and my status bars are all jumbled during fights. How can I fix?

Start FF7Config (inside the Gamefolder) goto Tab "Graphics" choose "640x480 Fullscreen" + "NVIDIA" + "TNT" and press OK.
Start FF7Config again, goto Tab "Graphics" choose "Custom Driver" and press OK.

Tell whether that helped.

EDIT:
Again misunderstood something :(
I think the heat has fried my brain...

As embarrassing as this is, I don't see an app.log file anywhere in the bootleg folder.  Help?

In the FF7 folder should be one.
