There's two things wrong with your statement.

1. Emo means emotional. Evanescence could be considered emo music.
2. He doesn't sing emo music. Their genre is more along the lines of pop/techno/glam music.

And what's wrong with your definition of emo music anyways?
Care to say a few bands you would classify as emo?

It's real music, not some emo scene kids singing about candy and ice-cream. You must be confused by the fact that there aren't any synthesisers in it and there's no auto-tuning. :mrgreen:
