...there are no natural masculine legs for the battle side, so I'll have to get creative.
Take a look at Gigas or the Titan summon.
 
@Kaldarasha - The Gigas itself is too dark to blend the skin tones, and it's barely more masculine than the fleshly Snow, and itan's legs when turned into normal dimensions just look like someone's forearms rather than legs, either that or they look overly chunky.

I updated his body to have the red shorts, the lower legs, sneakers, I added in the white sash.

If you approve of the design, I'll get the final colours added, which will make his skin darker, make his sneakers white, I'll add in gloveless hands with white bands instead and if that's signed off on, then I'll do the field models and the weapons.

Using Cloud's skeletons, we can have large knives and staves,  although he'll swing them around like a sword.
 
I'm having a problem trying to move parts cause Kimera gives me an overflow error every time I try to click on a part while viewing the battle skeleton.  I'm 95% sure it's cause I have an integrated  graphics card(cheap computer), but it makes changing animations near-impossible on kimera.  I was wondering if anyone here had a work-around or maybe if my kimera is just corrupt?  Don't mean to hijack the thread, but it's important so I can use the request I put in here earlier.

Edit: I've been trying to rotate parts since that's all I can do(using the arrow buttons in frame options) but not only is it time consuming, it's very hard to get all the parts matching and the weapon doesn't move the right way.

Overflow errors occur when you try to do too much in Kimera, such as multiple opening and edits in one way or another, kimera itself cannot be affected by any graphic card for its capabilities, just what is actually shown to you in the interface, as would anything else be affected.

How are you trying to load the parts? Are you double clicking a part of it when looking at the xxaa? or something else entirely?

It might be better to try to troubleshoot this over skype, facebook or something else, as we can communicate much quicker and in real time..

I'm trying to click on individual parts while viewing the full skeleton, I can do it with Field models, but if I try it with battle models it gives me that error.
 
Did you try an earlier version of kimera? I didn't have time to extensively test 0.97a, but I know for a fact that different versions of kimera are good at certain things, each bringing its own issues and bugs you need to take into consideration before using.

For now, I would recommend trying 0.81 and see if the issue persists, and yes, send me your skype name and I'll add you.
 
I actually have been having trouble finding any version other than 0.97a, I tried googling it and I keep ending up with 100 german websites that have nothing to do with it.

Everything looks good. Only thing is zyzz had chicken calves. lol. So theres no one in the game with skinny/weak calves you can switch him out with? The upper body,head,shoes,colors you plan to use etc is perfect. If the calves cant be small then its fine. I really like it. Its crazy how good this looks.

About the knives and staves that's fine because he actually grabbed the bo but swung it around like a martial artist so swinging it up/down/sideways is ok.

I adjusted the colours on him and added in the white sneakers, I'm going to try giving him the gloveless hands in a bit, but I'm looking through for any of the larger knife type weapons as well as any staves I have.

WOW. Now that looks like zyzz  8) The height,the muscles,legs everything.

A scythe would be awesome as a final weapon ;D
 
Alrighty, and the way that weapons work is that there's 16 for Cloud, I could do it like this:
Staff, knife, staff, knife, staff, knife...

But for the last 2, AWESOME knife and SCYTHE!

Are you having any other unique characters, or just the normal cast? I'll also fix the kernal up for you to have proper weapon names to go with him.

Just the normal cast. I only want him to be different. How many characters can a weapon name have? Is "veni vidi vici" too long for a weapon name?
 
IIRC the character limit is 16, it might be longer than that, or maybe there's no actual limit, as long  as you don't mind it overlapping or going off the screen.

Although, I am tempted to make Dio into Chestbro, or make occasional references to his speech.

I got to that tutorial you told me to see and I came up with my first trial, now that I've got the hang of it I might be able to do more, however I'm still trying to figure out how to fix darkened field models in kimera.

I got cloud to have his ponytail in battle again, but I won't post a picture because unlike the error one this one isn't asking for help and I don't want people thinking I'm taking credit for someone else's model(which I stuck the ponytail on)
 
You use any kimera from 0.85 onwards to save the field models, which removes the darkened effect, you could just use kimera 0.95 or kimera 0.97a for it as well.

...Unless you were saving it with the 'enable shading' or whatever it's called, its called on, but if you did, it would be darkened in kimera and ingame.

And it's alright to show imaes of that, it's a screenshot of your progress as a splicer, everyone has to start somewhere.

Is that Cloud's skeleton, or the MP?

It's starting to come along quite nicely,  and we still have a number of animations to go, but it's a better alternative to trying to change Barret or Vincent into MP Cloud.

...And then we can try to make Laguna from him, Laguna's pretty awesome.
 
It's cloud's skeleton, I actually had to elongate the bottom part of the legs because Cloud is a little taller than the MPs(I could have alternatively moved the feet up, but I felt it was more fitting for it to be cloud if he was the right height) and the position of the MP stance made him float a bit so I had to transpose him down a bit.  I got four frames done so far mostly because I fell asleep while working on it.  They only took me about 20 minutes though(albeit the gun is the hardest part because it's attached to the hand.  I could splice it and make the gun a weapon, but I want to give MP Cloud a baton for a close range weapon).
