whoo! that's probably the best that I've heard about FFX.  and FFVIII is cool in the fact that you can't be Rickish (meaning gaining levels until everything is pathetically easy) in it because everything gains levels with you.  SO it makes it more of a stratagy RPG, and since I don't ever gain levels in the first place it makes it easier for me...

FYI it is possible to complete FF8 without lvlling up any single character once.   :D
Well IMO FF8 is easy.   :laugh: (Imagine Squall at LV7,Selphie at LV8, Zell at LV8 with a LV100 Shiva wiping off Elvoret in one round the Dollet Tower....   :lol: )

Tactic: Out of curiousity (sp) how do you get a level 100 Shiva when your characters are only at level 8 without cheating?

After doing a few browses, what do you guys think of Secret of Evermore?
 
Good in that it has the same addictive qualities (interface-wise) that Secret of Mana has, but bad in that its one player only.  Even though there's two playable characters in the game, and even though you can switch your control like in Secret of Mana, the other character seems to be required to be A.I. controlled.  :(

i didn't like chrono cross. the resemblance to zelda bugged me.... but chrono trigger is great game. you freak

CT is by no means the best RPG. You all are the freaks. CT is CRAP!!!!!!
 
Now, the nice way to say it would be to explain just why you, of all people in the universe, feels so strongly against a certain game. Otherwise this thread will turn into flaming, which will cause the moderators trouble, which will cause me to exhale with feeling (also known as a sigh), which is generally a bad thing, if you consider the uptime of this board a good thing.

I can understand your hate for CT, since you have been exposed to better RPGs released after it, before being released to such a good game. But as one of many who was exposed to CT in it's prime, I'd have to say its more of a classic RPG. It's not the best, but it's still a great classic.

Well, that's easy. When you're at the dollet tower mission, kill off Squall and Zell using Seifer. From there.... you know what to do   :D  Pummel down galbadian soldiers till your Seifer reaches LV60 (while Zell and Squall are asleep   :)  ) and your GFs should reach LV100. By that time I have spent around 5 solid hours, and laughed all my way through Disc 1. (With abilities like STR +20%/40% Zell can achieve 1000++ damage per hit at his lowest LVL   :D )

Thanks Tactic. Though the link won't work because the site makes you be signed up for it... That stratgy though is still Rickish (see previous quote for definition) due to the amount of time it takes...

I'm looking forward to FFVI for the PS. They didn't have it in Game last time I went there so I'll hopefully get it on saturday. If only they'd improved the graphics though, I get really bored of games with bad graphics.
