Okay thanks! But I solved it by downloading a save file of disc 3. Anyway now I know it.

Just a couple of suggestions for the next update. maybe instead of setting the cards to max 255 per stat.. maybe set it to 220to 230 instead. each wins makes the cards stronger but it seems that getting passed what is supposed to be the real in game max stat of a card if it reaches the value of 255 would reset to 0. at least it will allow you to have that space to play the cards with a modified value.

Yes, I've noticed that. Not sure how the game updates the values etc, but iirc it didn't do this on the psx.

Hi All,
To the people asking in this thread for a save converter between pc and switch. I wrote a tool to do that. I don't know if i have fixed all the bugs yet so keep your saves backed up. Please submit and issue on github if you find any issues.
Here is a link to the project:

After several years I finally decided to make an option to set cards to their MAX levels (based on quoted post) instead of simply setting them to 255. Not released yet; looking to do some import/export features updates too.

Still unable to reproduce the naming bug people are reporting. Not sure what to make of it.

I've been using this on a steam save, shortly after the theatre ship crashes. The first time I made changes, everything saved fine and dandy, I however was stupid and forgot I was still going to be changing gear around.

This of course reset my stats on Zidane, and of course means it will happen as I adjust gear in game with other characters.

So, I tried editing stats/gear again on the same steam save, but nothing sticks but the level and experience. Has anyone had this same experience, and a fix?
There's a workaround for that though i'm still in the middle of testing it. I did the test at Evil Forest. Using Memoria & equipping Zidane with the best stat raising gear according to KADFC max stat guide. I reset his level everytime he reach level 3 or 4(I save each time before level reset).

To my surprise the stats that you gain through gear stays even after you reset your level. I thought it was a fluke at first but it's not. Leveling up & changing gear would make the game recalculate stats, right? I did both & de equip everything except dagger but extra stats stays.

Currently, i'm testing magic stone growth. It seems even after level reset, at least partial of magic stone increase you gain would still intact. Not confirmed, but i assume you could reach 99 magic stone using level reset method. The in game cheat is much faster though. Just activates it, you get 99 magic stone & it stays even if you reset level(You'll definitely want to reset because that in-game cheat sucks for stats. You'll only get base level 99 stats, no extra.)

Can this work with FFIX HD + save wizard advance mode save? thanks for the answer...

Hello! Is it possible to convert .mcr save file (psx ps1) to .dat file (steam ver)?

A 100% conversion can't be made until the entire psx save is mapped. As far as I know it, isn't.
It would be fairly easy to make certain sections, let's say character data, transferable though.

any updates man and will there you eventually release this on githhub ?

Just curious, but is there any way to edit saves for the Windows Store/Xbox saves? Did a deep dive but found nothing besides steam editors as far as PC goes.

Not at all knowledgeable on coding but was curious if thats an aspect youre interested in

edit: Regardless thanks for the work on this. Used this and Hyne for FF8 years ago for multiple consoles and was amazed its still being supported

Oh 9 is out on Xbox lol. Don't think I knew that.
I suspect that one would be similar to the steam format.
Perhaps it's possible to save on cloud and download it to the steam version? Then it should be easy to use memoria.

Anyway I would need an example of a save file to know. I'll see if I can find one.

@faospark putting it on github seems like a good idea. There aren't many unreleased updates though, only the card thing I mentioned earlier.

Is there a way to edit chocobo-related data, eg which chocographs you have? It looks like the data positions were discussed in the thread literally years ago, but I can't see where they might be editable within Memoria.

Am I just being blind or did they not make it in? If not is there a way (windows steam ff9) to manually edit them? I'm deeply tired of playing hot & cold just for chocograph mining.

Thanks, for you time on this, Memoria is an excellent tool!

I sadly missed Stiltzkin in Burmecia, and wanted to know if there was a to inject the encounter and purchase into my save, without needing to restart. I'd love to hear any ways to do this! I'm now in Treno, about 12 hours in (with a bunch of cool cards, and the 1000 jump roping key item), so I'd hate to have to restart.

Sadly, this isn't possible by memoria atm. If you really want to explore, you can try the hex editor, but your pretty much on your own there. You can also extract/dump the raw savefile.

ok im not completely stupid but i feel like it, how in the hell do i find the save data so i can mess around with this?. can't find it anywhere

C:\Users\[Name]\AppData\LocalLow\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY IX\Steam\EncryptedSavedData

It is hidden quite well.

YES got there eventually , the folders are actually hidden incase you have multiple users , so you have to uncheck the 'hidden items' box. thank you Tirlititi
