"annoying tutorials at the beginning of the game that won't go away no matter what you do" - FF8, and this really does happen.
Eh....strange. I played FF8 a few days ago (I stopped because I got bored of it)... and you can actually skip it (Tutorials) by pressing the "Cancel" button when Quistis is about to explain all those Junctioning crap (Don't get me wrong..... I never say that I hated the junction system). Works for me....

"bad guys that are there but really aren't" - FF7, Sephiroth

You should also add: Bad guys that in fact aren't that bad or are not bad at all or are doing all the things they do just to realize they're not bad and it's only other people that are making them bad, but as from now love and peace.... - Caith Sith, Kuja etc. heh

I'll be sure to remember that, FFTboy. I had no idea...

And I just tested it and it works great. I fast-forwarded through the opening movie and all the other crap. It was damn funny.

Keep in mind that I was pointing things out that FF9 didn't have...although there were some minor exceptions when I finally explained it, but it really doesn't matter. In every game, final fantasy or not, some villains are really good people just following orders. But does their unethical behavior stop them from being good people? Who knows...

Wrong. Learn to press triangle, it skips tutorials.

You didn't have to respond 4 days later just to tell me I'm wrong about something that was a joke. I already got the fix from FFTBoy, so I think I'll add on another sarcastic eye-rolling.

my view is ff7 was an awesome game, one of my best ever games I played and its the pc version, nothing wrong with this port if you ask me it plays fine.

ff8 i brough after ff7's success and I never finished the game, it really bored me, I also thought things like using sense was stupid loads of fancy graphics but after the initial casting of the spell had no info on the monster.

Omg! I was actually planing to buy FFIX PAL when it came out here (finally), but due to the security crap I fucked that shit. If I wanted to play FFIX again I'd play the Kalisto NTSC Pre-Release version again on ePSXe... Complete with the numourus movie glitches and the crash on Disk 2, which I had to patch and reburn at 1x on a CDRWin demo...

And check sig 90 on that peition. Richard Williams = me. w00t. To think its running at over 6000 sigs right now...
Reminds me back of when I was actually hopening for a PC version. FFVIII Pc looks so damn nice. Try emulateing Psx FFVIII on a Pc, I doubt it'd look half as good as FFVIII PC does...
God damnit that topic is old. I was so damn cheery back then and stuff.... and I was still on 56gay at the hands of... BT INTERNET!!! *dramatic music*
But I still say I'm the same old gimp that singed up here over 3 years ago... one that still makes silly typos a lot...

And just to add my 2 cents on FFIX, I thought it was a good game, but lacked time and effort.. it was mad short and most of the characters started getting some development, then were just abadoned... not like FFVI where all the characters have a major and several minor sub stories :(
