Hello guys, im new here to the forums and i can say you guys are doing an IMPRESSIVE work around here, now getting on topic, i dunno if this is the right place, but for my interpretation the patch only supports resolutions bigger than 1280x1024? Asking that coz i have an old 15'' monitor that only supports 1024x768.

It should work fine at lower rsolutions.
 
Most likely. Although you may wish to download both and see which one looks better.
 
Hello I download the nikfroztyavatar and there are only .tex files, I replace it in menu_us.lgp but when I fire up the game there are only white avatars, in blank I mean, what happen? I have turned off the cache option in Aali custom driver and deleted the cache, but there is still the problem... thanks in advance :P

How is this a problem with the Avalanche overhaul?
 
Mmm sorry but when I uninstall the mod the avatars appear, but leave it, I will put the nero avatars, hehe.
 
I'm using the Beta 9, I don't know if I installed the custom driver wrong or something, I followed the instructions but the .exe tells me that Aali's Custom Driver cannot be found.

Any Recommendations?

I'm on windows 7 if that makes a difference.

Edit: There is also No registry file, I know that after a certain update you didnt need to use it to install the custom driver, but I thought that was odd, Is there something I have to do to get a registry file?

Got the AVALANCHE to install, Now I can't run the game, It tells me to insert disk, the real game disc is inserted, I also Tried running directly from disc and it tells me the same thing. Is this part of the Beta testing, or should I reinstall and try again?
 
That problem has nothing to do with the avalanche mod. Try searching around for a solution to your problem.
 
Not really a problem with the mod but for some reason whenever I try to download the high res V2 the download stops at 40 megs.  It's done this about 4 times now. This isn't the first time I've had download problem and the solution seems to always be wait a day.  So not really a pressing matter just throwing it out there.

EDIT:  False alarm no surprise.  Switched from chrome to firefox 3 and it worked first time.

Ok so I figured this doesn't warrant a new thread and I know raising the dead isn't the most popular of ideas but I noticed that restore magic hasn't been redone and if it has it isn't in the latest installer.  I remember when you were cracking through multiple spell textures a day and you declared them done so I think you have it somewhere and it's just not in the latest installer and if it isn't I'm sure it's not a daunting task to redo the last few spells.
 
They should be there in spells/seffect. Perhaps the installer does not put the modified textures in the right spot. Easiest way to fix this is make a modpath and put the seffect files in there.
 
Ah yes seffect is there.  I made sure to delete my cache directories beforehand and run the driver config after the install.  I'm using aali's latest (0.7.8b) if that makes a difference.  I got some error during the battle that said "GLITCH: texture could not be loaded" in big yellow letters over the battle menu.  It seemed at a random time and didn't seem to be related to any textures.

In any case how do I create a modpath?  Through the config right?
 
Yeah. Just type a folder name in there. eg modpath = test. Under mods make a folder called test. Copy seffect files to this folder

Ah, looks like a directory issue.  Should light_5.png be light_5_00.png? For quake 3?
