He just told you.  It is normal.  When a new file made by modders does not exist it loads the original graphic.
 
i know, but i ment NONE of them are loading, and theyre all in the correct folders within the mods directory.

Hi,

I've been having a heck of a time trying to get a hold of the high res team avalanche graphics mod. The megaupload is currently off and when I go to the big list of mods and try to get the file from mediafire, I will download it and it will just disappear. I finally got it on my desktop but every time I try to open it nothing happens. Any suggestions?

EDIT: I'm an idiot. My antivirus wasn't off. It's installing now so hopefully won't have any issues.

I cannot find a working link for the Low res patch... could someone re-upload it or tell me where can I find it? Thanks in advance!
 
Well, since my laptop is widescreen and the native resolution is 1366 x 768, I need to use resolutions under X x 768. That forces me to go for pretty low resolutions. I used to have the Low res patch and it worked great, but I uninstalled the game and now that I want to play it again I cannot find it. The High res patch works slower in low resolutions (I already tried), so in my case, the Low res does improve performance. So again, if anyone has it...

it wont let me download Team Avalanche’s Graphical Overhaul it says do to high trafficking the links have been disabled, will this be fix the Team Avalanche’s Graphical Overhaul is one of the dew remaining mods i need :(

Hi, I have installed the Team Avalanche’s Graphical Overhaul (Beta 9) HQ on 2 laptops. It has worked great on my higher end i5 laptop. The problem I am having is an older laptop which has an intel celeron processor, a resolution of 1280x800 and old sis mirage graphics. the framerate drops to 15 and is horrible to play.

Do I need to download  Team Avalanche’s Graphical Overhaul (Beta 9) LQ for this lower spec laptop?

If so could somone please upload it, it is literally no where to be found.

With the improvements to aali's driver there is very little difference between the two versions. The main reason there are two versions is the old driver did not scale that well so the lower resolution files looked better with low res screens. Performance between the two should be similar.

There's your problem. I wouldn't call that card merely "old" so much as "hideously outdated". It's not gonna pull off much more than default graphics on this game.
 
Hi, well first of all thank you so much. The work that is done here is so amazing. All the texture packs, the open gl driver, etc. really nice stuff.
Unfortunately when i download the Avalanche Gui v2.0.8 and install it my antivirus software told me that the file contains a trojan horse called "Offend.2.2262".
Has anyone an idea regarding that issue?

False positive.

Due to a small exe file included with the update to fix a black-bar glitch, and the way that file is constructed, it scans often as a virus.

If you got the files here at Qhimm, they're perfectly safe.  Ignore the scanner and tell it to allow your mod files, or better still, temporarily disable the scanner before you run the installer.  :)
 
question is the gui installer X83, X64 or both as i can't install the gui as it is blocked buy this problem.

Edit: i am using win 7 X64

Is there anyway to get beta 9? all megaupload links are dead and I can't find any links on google either.
 
Haven't read through the entire thread, but in case no one has mentioned this, the GUI v2.0.8 is unaccessable (at least to me). When I follow the link to download, I get a page that says:

"Sorry, this file is infected with a virus.

Only the owner is allowed to download infected files."
