I (...) haven't seen a solution in the previous posts
Oh yeah?

NotWorkingMovies problem usually is caused by the lack of a TrueMotion2.0 codec.

Battle crash... Well... if you really read all previous posts, read them again... It could be compatibilty mode (although I don't know if it works properly with Win2k), software rendering mode, nVidia patch...

@ Squee
You might want to try the Win2000 Fix I included in that patch I made (see the Multi Patch topic). What you decribed sounds a lot similar to the troubles I had before playing around with the compatiblity modes dziugo mentioned. Hope the patch helps and saves you some time.  :-?

... (continuing my above post)
I set the .exe to win98 compatibility mode. However, every so many minutes my game freezes. This has improved after setting the compatibility mode, yet it isn't a permanent solution.

The game crashes, and a quit to desktop occurs, leaving me with a XP error message (report to MS) and a savegame to load.

Anyone got an idea?

hello.. I really need help

Check the first post of this thread for an upside-down patch... It should work.

now i need help.. game runs really nice only after awhile during a battle it gives me a messege that windows has to close the progrem or something, "send" or "dont send"
anyone know whats the problem now?
it heppen 2 times - in the 2nd explosion mission, than i restart and it worked, and in the don mension after you take your women clothes off, i really need to solve in, cnt restart every time.
please help

Have you turned on the compatibility mode for the ff7.exe? If not, try it (Win98/Me works fine).

What do I need to do to make the music in the game sound like it originally did? It sounds very odd now.

Hey, wtf, i have win xp pro edition, Amd xp 1.6ghz 512 ram Ati radeon 9600xt , last of the omega codec for ati, the riva turner shit, i've installed the 1.02 patch and everything and i still can get the game work, i've put nvidia, tnt, 3d hardware accel, i exec the game, i get the NEW GAME continue? screen, i select new game, and then the screens goes black and nothing happens, i wait and wait and nothing, i have to close the process. What am i doing wrong?

Wanna know? You don't have a codec required to play the movies. Install it from your install disk. Make sure to reboot.

I like how the completely unrelated question was answered, and not the original one :P

Tain: You might want to try downloading "FF7MUSIC" to get the game to play the original playstation music rather than the crappy midi renders... I don't have a link on-hand but I'm sure you can find it if you use the search function!

It, unfortunately, didn't work. :(

Silentbob: Check out the Upside-Down Movie patch. That supposedly fixes it as well.

Yeah...I just reinstalled everything along with FF7Music and now it just doesn't open. :(

for those who are interessed , i found a way for using psx pad with ff7 running in win exp... no matter the compability mode.
I will make a faq latter.

hi, 'm new to this forum as you can all see, and i'd like to know where i can find the reunion patch for FFVII.
