No, I did it following the tutorial.
Can I install the unified model installer on top, or do I need to start over?

I've downloaded Trish(aka Mike)'s custom model pack, but it is still appearing red on my mod list.  Any idea why that might be?

EDIT: Figured it out, the link to that mod has a file missing the apostrophe in between the closing parentheses and the s.  Everything is green for me now, just waiting on it to finish

hey everyone, first post here. I just want to start off by saying that everyone who has worked on these mods are forever my hero's and i shall not forget you!! there seriously needs to be a memorial built in all yalls honor cos all this is seriously incredible...

I'm currently about 95 percent done with downloading all these mods. thanks for the TUT its been a big help, but there is one thing i am unclear about... the remix 2.5.1 installer. I know that the btjunkie link is kaputt so im gonna download in parts, but there is the option for parts 1-13, and then there is an option for parts 1-4. im going with the 1-4 cos it allows resuming, but what i am wondering is: if i download either of the versions, unpack them so that i am left with "final fantasy VII remix 2.5.1 installer.exe and drop it into the bootleg folder along with my other mods, will the .rar files in red on the mod list turn green or do i have to drop the parts into the bootleg folder along with the installer.exe? I thought i read something about this last night but i looked through this thread again today and didn't see anything.

I noticed on the main post that the screen shot of the bootleg folder that only contains the installer.exe, so i think what i said above is what i'm supposed to do, but since i'm a complete noob at this i just want to make sure.

props you guys.

Just put the files you download in the MODS folder.
Don't extract them.
Bootleg identifies the correct version of Remix and does the rest.

how convenient! i'm megabytes away from giving the installation a shot, on part 4 of the installer. thanks so much for the fast reply.

This forum is awesome. learning about how everyone actually updates these graphics has been blowing my mind all day... going in frame by frame and touching things up sans payment and all for the love of the game is just so awesome to me. and on top of that, giving them out for free, creating neat little programs that allow users to tailor the mods to their tastes, and being so apt to help out people having problems... i really just can't get over it! great work.

Hi,

I just installed everything and it works great with one exception; when I go to run it, an error pops up stating:

"Failed to set the requested fullscreen mode, reverting to original resolution window mode."

I opened the ff7_opengl.cfg file to check the screen settings which are set to:

window_size_x = 1280
window_size_y = 960
preserve_aspect = yes
fullscreen = yes

I am unable to enlarge the screen as it is stuck in quarter window mode.  Any ideas?

Thanks a bunch for an awesome program by the way.

Sean

Ive got the game running but its very laggy and pixilated. Can any one help with this?

Thanks

I cannot stress how much I appreciate this. Thank you so much to everybody involved, I am going to spread the word to all my friends who loved this game. Again thank you so much, you have made a random Irish guy very happy.

I ran the bootleg installer fine but there was some errors in the log.

At first, I didn't disable MS Security Essentials so it quarantined couple of files so after installation, there were errors in the logs. Stupid of me for not saving them.

So I ran the bootleg installer second time after disabling MS Security Essentials.

These are the errors I received in the log after the installation.

Error in startmap: Incorrect number of entries: 2/11
Error in blackbg2: Incorrect number of entries: 24/42
Error in blackbg3: Incorrect number of entries: 18/28
Error in blackbg4: Incorrect number of entries: 54/72
Error in blackbg7: Incorrect number of entries: 16/25

Error in blackbgk: Incorrect number of entries: 16/21
Error in elminn_1: Incorrect number of entries: 16/17

Are they important or can the game run fine with those errors?

I got to the first save and the game ran fine so far but I'm afraid it'll crash later after some important part.

Those are common errors that do not effect the gameplay. I have played through the entire game with those, and it went just fine.

Hai guise. I had some problems earlier getting shit to install, but i was able to figure it out...
but..
now i have another problem... Music.
I hear no midi... nor do i hear FF7Music >.>
Help?

How to enable FF7Music:

- Open FF7Music.exe from the installation folder.

- Click on Configure.

- Go to the Files tab.

- Under Profile, select the music you chose from Bootleg.

- Save and Exit.

Also, run FF7Config.exe as administrator and configure the correct sound and MIDI devices.
You should also make sure the sound mixer volume levels for the device, applications and FF7.exe are turned up.

e1sunz, if you were asking me how I found out about this site, it was by luck watching youtube videos. I've been a member quiet a while just lurking around trying mods, but this is the first time I've tried multiple mods at one time! The game runs perfectly and the mods are fantastic, it's insane the amount of customization when installing the mods too. The people involved really are incredible!

Hey guys i'm having a spot of trouble here...I've managed to get all my other mods downloaded ok and they're all green. There's just two I can't seem to get right though.

The first is ff7_opengl-0.7.11b.zip I've tried leaving it unzipped like in the tutorial description and it never showed up so I tried unzipping it and that didn't work either, it just stays red.

The second one i'm having bother with is the Trish(aka) Mike's model pack I've tried all 3 download options for it (main, alt and the one from the big list) But It keeps coming up the file cannot be found, is there another place I can download it from or am I doing something wrong?

This is my first time trying out mods so i'm not a whole lot sure what i'm doing but I seemed to have managed to get the rest going fine. I'm really excited to play through FF7 again wiht all the cool textures and stuff so any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Check the name it needs to be the same as in the modlist, with the Trish(aka) Mike's model pack  your missing an underscore before the s! ( "_s") Check with the mod list in the bootleg to be sure.
